HGI for beginners.

I keep getting this alert popping up every 30-40 second driving you nuts, Check screen shot

The message that keeps popping is:
HGI 15 History updated
HGI wait for downloading more bars...

Anyway to resolve this?

this means you have not enough history to let the HGI-indicator work, and an updating of your history data fails. You try to run this script---> http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=15&t=254 and you should set on your Empty4 "Max Bars in Chart" & "Max Bars in History" a least to 1000...

Seem it needs all history for all pairs ,including commodities, is there a way to filter it to only use history for the pairs you wish to use?

normally the HGI should itself have success downloading the history data, but if your broker does not have enoght history data to dwonload on W1 or MN1 at exp, nothing can resolve this.., try a demo with GlobalPrime and look if you have still the problem..

I understand just signed up on global waiting for account demo to be sent to mail, what i wanted to know HGI attempts to download all historical data even for asset you not going to trade? Such as commodities, indices ?

If that's the case is there way to selective select what assets to be excluded from HGI download?

no the HGI inicator attemps only for the symbol and tf you use the indicator..

Resolved the issue installed a new Empty4 in a new directory.

I have a few question whether to enable these parameter and what is their functions and whats best recommended:

usehurstfilter : ?
MA240Filter : ?
ignorefuture : ?

I would also like to know what is the recommended template to use with HGIv16.04, i have seen several different template and not sure which one is for this version?

Below is a screenshot of the indicators i am using with HGI , anything missing?

Is there any additional file i have to install in my include and lib folder when using HGI?

Which settings enable the alert when when the big arrow is down and white line is above yellow dotted?

I appreciate the answer, i went through several hours reading the post about HGI but there is so much different data its a little confusing sorting everything . :youknow:

First of all attach always here your images, if you don't know how, read this --> http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/kb.php?a=2

Use the indicator with the settings it comes with (OOTB) this are the best settings, the list of indicators you use looks ok, best is to made your own template so you can define the colors , settings ecc. you like...
There is no need of a lib or others for using the HGI..

And any idea how to enable the alert when the big arrow is down and white line is above yellow dotted? I Tend to use multimeframe cross its kinda of crazy when i have to rotate all my monitors
