HGI used with Hurst charts

I find Matrix is best on it's own chart with all the pairs you wish to be informed on..

Have you tried playing around with the MACD Hurst periods? 10/20, 20/40, 30/60 etc When you are looking at a chart you have all the information on that timeframe on that chart.. what I find helps is seeing what is happening on a higher timeframe too and that's where slope, CSS or MACD Hurst type indicators can be invaluable.

Totally. After my initial ADX chart review I filter the rest by looking at CSS. I also have a chart for just the matrix for all pairs, but I don't know which time frames I want to select. Maybe D1 no hurst filter, and another for H1 with a hurst filter. But if I'm only going to trade from my ADX selection then I shouldn't care what other signals I get.. It's a never ending story.

I have played with it a little. It is set up for 10/20 right now on my H1. I feel like since I'm already going in the direction of the daily trend I wouldn't need another one on a higher time frame.

But we will see, it's always evolving

edit: 10 minutes later..

Here's a possibility for H1. Only trade in the direction of both colors. When both are dark blue you're looking for shorts and vice versa. This is with 10/20 and 60/120. But I'm not the guy pulling in 10% a week.

Thanks for sharing. Yes H1 signals in the direction of D1 is a good framework. And that DL Hurst MACD combo should work. Give it a go.. post your trades. Just remember to filter your entries to get the best entry (I suggest the 5TMA - either centerline or bands)... and perhaps keep an eye on xx.00 lines for early exit.

Hi TraderJoeForex,

Did you trade EURNZD (H4) using the last bottom wavy line and using the blue DL Hurst MACD (TMA_Slow_ Value=240) line (as filter) to enter the trader. Just wish to learn from you how to enter the trade correctly.

If I am using M15 chart, i should follow the arrow or wavy line to enter trade and use DL Hurst MACD (TMA_Slow_ Value=60) line (as filter) to enter the trader.

Thanks in advance.

Yes that is correct and the candle open after the wavy was on/under the 5TMA.

Do you use HGIMatrixMTF v30 to enter trade and configured alerts only after candle closed?

Yes, too many false signals otherwise.

It would be really cool to add in the hurst macd into the matrix somehow. Could you imagine getting a signal on the matrix and also being able to see the macd color/slope right next to it?

Neat idea.. although I find the HURST MACD too slow for the same timeframe being traded (but great for HT perspective).

I have played around with timing a lot this week trying to get good entries. M15 has done me well but not done much on H4.

I am going to focus on H1 next week as a compromise between the two. I have a new template which incorporates Murrey Math Lines too. I will post template and all the info tomorrow but screenshot attached to give a taste

Yeah it's definitely all about HTF. I'm looking forward to seeing what #/#'s you end up using on H1. I lowered my 10/20 down to 9/18, I couldn't make many entries on the correct side of the 5 TMA because 10/20 was just a slight bit too slow.

Also, put both the regular HGI and the H1 HGI on your chart to compare. I'm using the regular one just based off where the reprint signals get placed. Seems like the H1 version misses a lot of waves
