I've always loved the metals. They got me margin-called several times in the early days, but in all my a/c's since, they are always the heavy haulers (bringing in the most $$).

My first-ever EA (that I wrote), including the first EA I published here on SHF was for trading....GOLD. It was over-optimized I admit but looking at naked 2013 charts (gold, silver) for several months while coding it must have done something good upstairs

Moral: have switched from longs to shorts on Gold and Silver!

Not planning to hold them for too long though, both could be forming the 'usual suspect' stop hunt [ in order to eventually go long again ]
