you don't need to read the indicator so often, what time frame are you trading....I'm trading 4Hr and only read the indicator every 180seconds, which still maybe too often....also, the is a chart refresh at the bottom of the EA settings, I set this to 180 seconds also....

Thanks. I am on M15 and testing. I guess 180 seconds is too much. Maybe 30 seconds will do?

Does the lookback candles consume CPU? I have it set to 10. Is that too much when trading M15 with H1 and H4 agreemen?

Not Sure about the look back, maybe Bionvest can provide and answer here....

I changed lookback and chart update to 30 seconds and my cpu usage went down to a few percent! But after some hours it climbed up again and is now about 55%.

After a short test on M15 it seems that htf60+htf240 lookback is making a bit better (and fewer) trading decisions than using the Double MA.

This is going to be a silly question i know, but can you confirm the "TradingTimeFrame" variable is represented in minutes, eg 4h trading is =240. The only reason i ask is that version 2x2 has been uploaded with "TradingTimeFrame=1;" and the description of the variable indicates "//Defaults to H4. 0 means current chart tf" I know basically every EA on this forum represents trading time in minutes, but i just could not (not) ask the question...

also, although the EA has been saved up to the website as "BoHGB 2x2.mq4" when i edit the ED, it is showing #define version "Version 2x1"

Hi.
After some PM:s I will here share my setfiles and myfxbook.
But the results so far (a few days) is not good. This is the first three different settings I have tested, there is settings enough in BoHGB to test it further.

Timeframe M15

Please filter the trades in myfxbook after magic number there is three:
1510 - TP8. SL30. Default DoubleMA
1520 - TP8. SL30. HTF60+240.
1530 - TP ATR14x1.5. SLATR14x1.5. No MA. No HTF (a lot of trades)

Check setfiles for the other settings. I am using time (local) setting 00.00-22.40. 20 minutes before rollover and 1 hour after is blocked from trading.

I have in no way tried a lot of settings and come up with theese, it is the first three I started testing.

The new version of BoHGB2x2 disappears off of my charts instantly and will not stay anyone else experiencing this problem?

No, I have not had this problem, my problem is that i replaced my older version of BoHGB with version 2x2 early Friday Melbourne/Australia time on 28 pairs and not one single pending trade since...I have made a couple of changes from out of the box, primarily disabling the multi trades and combined trades....I also turned off every tick mode and reduced the number of times the indicator is read to 180 secs....I think this is ok given i'm trading 4h time frame.....I have attached a set file if anybody can see something obvious that i'm doing wrong.....Be aware, i have been demoing both Boinvest's and Steve's version of the HGI EA's since they were first released, so have a pretty good handle on most of the settings....

any help would be appreciated...
