03 - Pipcruiser Dashboard – Signals – EA - MPTM

Hi Guys,

Post 1 updated with PP Dashboard V 2.00 and MPTM Plus EA V 2.00.

Nothing change in MPTM Plus EA, I just changed the version number to V 2.00.

Concerning PP Dashboard, in my tests, everything was ok, excepted the function to delete multiple pending trades when price goes bellow price exit target. I made some test yesterday on lower timeframe and this version should be ok now… I hope so…

Description of the problem:

The trade is triggered on Tuesday, the price target for exit (price target – xx pips) is ok on Tuesday, and the dashboard store the price target exit value in a Global Variable.

On Wednesday and until the end of the week, the price target for exit should remain the same than on Tuesday (stored in a Global variable).

With the previous PP dashboard version this price was changing and was not good.

Now it should be ok.

I let temporarily the price target exit value on the dashboard screen to make it easier to monitor if we still have the problem (price in yellow under the custom filters).

I am going to start working on new templates that I should share during the week-end.

If my last modifications from yesterday are ok, this should be the final version and I should be ready to start my long/medium term tests.

PS 1: please note that if you close your dashboard or re-initialize the dashboard, the price target exit value will be lost.

PS 2: to monitor the price target exit value, just make sure that when a trade is open on day D, the following day D+1 the value in yellow is the same than on day D.

Many thanks for these.

Here are some stats for my 100 day unattended (no manual intervention - just sits in a corner of the VPS) test of this strategy.

Hi Macman,

Many many thanks for this analysis.

It confirms what I think, this strategy has a huge potential.

The DD is low, now we need to increase the average win/loss ratio to make some profits consistently and regularly.

The introduction of the multiple pending trades might help.

We also have to work on the SL and JSL settings to find the best combination.

One question, how did you managed your lot size with this test? I can note that it goes from 0.01 lot to 0.03?

I am finally ready to launch my test next week with various settings.

Yes, a glitch somewhere.

The 100 day test started before the dashboard came along and the EAs were set, and are still set at 0.03 fixed lot size. All trades before 28/1/2015 are at 0.03 size.

The dashboard 2003 strategy template set a fixed size of 0.01, but oddly enough I also get 0.03 sized trades mixed in with 0.01 trades after 28/1 -

So a bit more testing needed here to find out what is happening.

Hi Guys,

A test in the test.

Yesterday I setup 1 demo account with 11 dashboard instances (all templates shared in post 2) and 11 MPTM Plus EA instances.

Let see how MTCrap latest update manage all this trades. At the moment there are 52 trades opened, 449 pending trades opened on 4 pairs. Useless to say that the platform is using high resources…

I also setup a Myfxbook account where you can have access to the results (use the custom analysis option to see the results per magic number):

Depending on the results, I might remove the worst performing dashboard instances but I’ll let you know.

I am running the 6003 strategy on the test account on my VPS.

Will let you know how things progress.

BTW, with the EAs set at a lot size of 0.03 and the template set at 0.01, it seems that the first trades are taken directly by the EA (0.03) with all subsequent pendings at 0.01. Also the comments are different for the first trades - not a big deal as really the lot size set in the EA should be the same as that set in the Dashboard/MPTM combination, but useful to know. ....

Sorry, I dont get it.

What do you mean by the EA? (PP original EA?). Are you using PP original EA to open orders?

For trades trigerred and managed by PP dashboard and MPTM Plus EA the trades comments should be the same.

The Lot size is defined in MPTM Plus EA only and you can use either a fixed lot size or XX lot size per xx k balance.

Hi G,

My set up is like this.
I have the original EA (version 1j) set up on each of my 20 charts, with a 0.03 lot size.
Then I have the dashboard set up on a separate chart and the MPTM set up on yet another chart, so 22 charts in total.
This means the original EA (1j) opens the trade at 0.03 and then the dashboard/MPTM takes over for the pendings at 0.01 size and handles the trades, using 6003 strategy templates.
The reason this is useful is because it allows me to set a different starting lot size for each pair, so on a high risk pair I could use a staring lot size of 0.01 but on a lower risk pair maybe 0.05 etc. I might decide that for all Yen crosses I want a 0.02 start, but change that later as Yen fundamentals change.

Not sure if this is how the system was designed but it sure works well - so far .....

Clear, I got it

Now, I understand why you are doing it like this.

At the moment the dashboard cannot open different lot size for different pairs... And the lot size for the intial trade and the pending trades is the same...

Something I'll try to look into soon... Good one.

Concerning 6003's strategy I am afraid that the pending trades SL might be too tight... Let see.
