Yes Steve stop loss, tried with both stop loss and no stop loss with same result.

EA is OOTB with just magic number, trading time and risk percent changed.

Strange how no stop loss is placed in the pending orders though...

Edit, after the EA places the MultiTrades without a SL if you open the EA up again and press OK it will then set the Stop Loss on the MultiTrades.

I know Steve would like to see this error in his own platform before spending resources tracking it down.

Understood Angat but he hasn't shouted at me so far so fingers crossed. I did a lot of testing with all sorts of settings to make absolutely sure that what I was reporting was to the best of my knowledge not something that I had screwed up.. That slight niggle aside I'm absolutely loving this EA the ATR feature is an absolute gem bit of coding and works flawlessly.

You guys have sent me to the right place to find the error. I assumed it was in the lot size calculation, but it isn't. The multi-trade stop loss computation is wrong. There is an initial zero stop loss, so PPoS cannot calculate a risk-based lot size.

There is code which checks that sl/tp is correct every time PPoS runs through its position picture building loop, so it adds the correct stops at the first tick after sending the pendings.

Not fixed yet, but I know what the problem is.

A very interesting read Steve and looks to be a solid system but given that PPOS is a such a solid EA (currently bagged 2.5% and floating profit is up 4.5% this month) I'll not be looking at anything else for a long long while.

I have 9 trades open and fomc just about to start. Do you have balls of steel or monitoring closely or exit before the high impact news?

To me, that depends upon your lot size.

I am with Bob and his tiny lot size over lots of trades maxim. Ok, so when a market moves massively in my favour I tend only to make a relatively small profit. On t'other hand, when it moves massively against me, I do not blow my account.

It only takes one massive movement against an over-leveraged position to blow the account. It takes a staggeringly massive one to do the same to a modestly-leveraged account.

Macho twats risking 10% per trade sweat over news events. Guys like me regard them with a passing interest. If we are around to watch them - I miss most NFP's because I am out teaching the piano. I often forget they are happening.

To be completely honest, I have even come to regard the Balls of Steel approach to trading as a mistake. Nobody needs BOS unless they are overtrading.

Good for you.

3.5% of a tiny account is bugger all, but make that every week and you will soon be a rich trader.

On t'other hand, 3.5% of a $100,000 account is quite a lot of money - more than I earned last year.

Yep. Bag it every time and shut up shop for the week is what I say re PPoS.
