So far my results: 6 Forex trades, (Intraday), 5 loosers, just taking the big arrow´s signals...could be just a nasty loosing streak....funny cause most past big arrows I see on any chart are winners...my stops aren´t tight neither...we willl see.
Highly interesting and I´m very thankfull to all the material exposed in this forum for free...some very generous intelligent people here..
I trade EW and fibos, have a consistent small edge...
Just tested HGI with real money, pennies, I guess to get it right it needs deeper study and commitement ...
Anyway, wish everyone the best of success...

cuchuflito,

if you read the thread, you've learned, that 'backtesting' leading the wrong way,
because historical signals are 'corrected' by close/open Empty4 or simply change TF.

Possibly would be helpful to tell some more details of your trades. Me, and some
traders here too, simply look at the overall trend (daily/weekly). HGI was developed
for H4/D1. Despite meantimes there are 2 versions for M15 and H1, they are in status
of evaluation.

Not using EW -so no judgement ref usability- you may use FIBs very well inside of HGI
to confirm entries and targets. But all this above is referring to H4 TF.

Cheers

Thanks Josh
I did read most of the material...that´s why I even tested the signals...
I´ve been tradinfg forex for over 10 years, I can tell when I check forums and systems that some should work...like HGI.
That´s my evaluation of HGI, even having the results I got...I ´m pretty sure, if someone focus on it full on it must work...
BUT, I´m sure (not believe), that to make it work, you have to master it with all it´s details...
That´s why for the moment, I will stick to my own trading....and polish that..
I don´t think you can be successfull trading various systems at the same time....in my opinion, success in forex, is like playing a violin...it must be perfect...then you can squeeze out your edge...

So please don´t take my comments in a negative way...rather, an advice to novice traders, yes, put all your focus, and make it work....
All the best to all...and keep up the fun...

Apologies if this has been asked before, but would like to clarify a point:

If I wait till the candle closes, will the arrows still update, or is it fixed once the candle it's associated with closes. What about the wavy lines? Thanks.

Or to phrase it slightly differently, is what I see on the historical screen what I get in real time provided I refresh the charts every time a candle closes?

once a candle is closed the arrows and wavies will not "update" until you will not reinitialize the indicator...

Cheers :)

Thanks. But I read some posts here about the TMA indicator taking into account 550 candles, and repainting dynamically upon refreshing the charts. So theoretically, I could end up in a situation where after the candle closes, I refresh the charts, and a big red arrow appears 2-3 bars earlier when it wasn't there before? Or is that not possible?

Thanks. Just trying to figure how this might work in real time. Because if that were true then some signals that we see on the historical chart may not actually be actionable ones in real time.

it is in the nature of all tma slope calculations that they will be idealized after a recaculation, this is an effect that is not to avoid with this type of calculation, but if you don't refresh your chart there will be no repainting..
THe HGI works the more bar you have in history the better the minimum should be 550, the latest version can handle charts with less than 550 bars but the calculations are less precise

Cheers :)
