In regards to the '30' from HBG userguide, we have this:
Multi-level Trend and RAD trades.
These are extraordinarily profitable. HGB sends a Trend buy for example. He also sends
pending buy stop trades on each 20 level – 118.2, 118.4, 118.6 etc. Each trade has a 30
pip take profit so there is a 10 pip overlap but only ever two multi-level trades open at a
time.
But there is no mention on the 300 or any SL settings for multi-level trades.

Update on the no stop loss, no take profit H4, D1 and W1 set ups.
This is day 5 of trading this, so far I have hit my basket TP of 5% 3 times with very low draw downs.
This morning during the mid London session the account went up to just over 4% and has since retraced to 1.5%. I fully expect the 5% to be hit early/mid New York session because this pattern seems to be repeating itself so far.
Given that I am only using main trades and I look at these charts quite often it is my firm belief that had I been using Multitrades set at 20% of the 4H ADR I would have smashed through the 5% barrier and the charts would now be setting themselves up nicely for the American session this afternoon.
The reason for this belief is that more often than not the winning trades are the biggest and highest majority, this morning I had 16 open trades, of that 16, 11 of them were positive and had they had multitrades they would swamped the losing trades by quite some margin given that there were twice as many winning trades and that over 50% of the winning trades were bigger winners than the biggest loser.
Will keep you updated but early days looking promising.

Here is a snap shot just taken of all the current trades and illustrates quite clearly what I mentioned in my previous post. Look at all the open trades and then compare the values and quantity of the winning trades to the losing trades, put some multitrades in the mix and the picture would look if it is possible a whole lot sweeter.

I forget now, you got any Myfxbook forward demos running? I would very much like to follow along on your 5% per week plan.

Angat that question has been asked before, have tried many times and after much corresponding with MyFX have been unable to set it up. I use Telefonica in Spain and suspect it may be something to do with them either way MyFX could not find a reason why all my details were accepted but failed to set up the account and they stated that they had no records of me even attempting to set up an account..Angat » Wed Mar 11, 2015 2:14 pm wrote:I forget now, you got any Myfxbook forward demos running? The 5% per week is on the normal Daily pipcrusher with Multitrades.
The 4H system is 24 hour trading and pending trades are shut down manually by me when either the daily or weekly trend changes as the pending trades stay open after a trend change. There is no Friday close.
This method requires a bit of work by the user because I set trades at 4 x ADR for stop loss (for lot size calculation) but as soon as the trades open I move them a long long way from the trades as well as the TP, basically no stop loss or take profit. I have an EA which is set to shut down ALL open and pending trades when 5% is hit or in an emergency 30%. So far it has not even come close to 5% draw down let alone 30% but I know one day it will and I want to see how fast it can recover from such a loss. Of course this is all on demo and I expect to be testing this for quite some time before going live. I always want to see worse case before putting any real money into it.

Ah sorry man, brain is still foggy. I do remember asking before actually. I'm a big fan of following demos on myfxbook if you haven't of guessed.Zennor » Wed Mar 11, 2015 1:27 pm wrote:Angat that question has been asked before, have tried many times and after much corresponding with MyFX have been unable to set it up. Update on the 4H trading. As expected the 5% basket trade closed mid New York session.
That is now 4 x 5% (compounded) completions in 5 trading days..

I'll be deleting one of my PP forward demos soon - Pipmasher v1j TP300 SL75 BE75+5 TS75.
I believe the settings in the above demo are restricting the potential of this EA to really rank up the pips. It has a win rate of around 59% (based on the limited stats its has) which I think is pretty low still. Due to its tight (conservative) SL, BE and TS, it just doesn't have the breathing room it needs to really take off.
I personally prefer the ATR-pair-specific variables of PPoS, but even without this, the original PP OOTB for example which does have the breathing room required i.e. SL 200 and TP 400 is starting to make good progress.
It's still early days of course. My advice to anyone starting up a number of PPoS forward demos, is to forget conservative and go wild. Give it room to move.

P.S. I'm not using any basket managers yet, I'm just purely testing the EA and different combinations of settings. It does seems that a basket manager together with risk based lot sizing, could be the answer to really turning up the heat.
