i had some trouble connecting to my VPS too. rebooted my computer and the instance (do this from the amazon dashboard) and it works now. RDP is a bit sketchy, it will give try its hardest not to work sometimes.

Unfortunatelly still not able to connect, I am following every step from the guide.

I am going to look into " security group seetting to allow connections from my IP". Need to learn how to do it.
Or simply use paid VPS, I am still only learning how to swim in EA and VPS waters

Hi all.

Please be careful with your AWS accounts and use MFA!
My second AWS account was hacked on Monday and hackers opened 40+ large instances!!

Thanks to Amazon security service I stopped it cause they send to me e-mail about strange activity on my account.
I have login only two times in that AWS account and password was stolen. And I'm careful PC user.

Free instance may have thousand $ cost

Hi all, I am also trying the free Amazon VPS and, although all seems to be working ok, I get awful latency numbers to many brokers. FBS is the worse with 200ms average!

Even other brokers I use on other VPS with 2ms, on Amazon they read regularly 60/80ms.

Where are the severs located?
