After a mid week slump, HGB ended the week on a high, with 800+ pips. I haven't changed anything since the beginning of the test -- it is a bit hard to draw any conclusions if you do. It is already hard enough to draw any conclusions if you don't. But for the moment, this version with this setup on these pairs, in this market is doing well. A big round of applause to Steve!

Thanks for the info TJF. I have been trading on H1 too but I now want to move on to H4. I have been forward testing H4 Trend and Blue Wave signals and confirming with the H1 and D1 CSS and Stochs. Might sound complicated but once you get used it becomes as easy as ABCD and the DD is also low. Let's see how it works out.TraderJoeForex » Fri Apr 03, 2015 7:04 pm wrote:
Hey.. I only trade H1 from about 6am to 4pm. Entry criteria is Trend Arrow on 22pairs + gold - this is managed by HGB with close on 1st opposite (usually wavy or range arrow) although I usually exit manually before the opposite. 1 main trade only.
I don't set a SL (the close on opposite is my safety net) and I set TP 2x each pair's ATR.
If I close at a loss ( I usually let the trade run to the opposite) then I increase the lot size from 0.01 to 0.02 in HGB for the next trade on that pair. If I loose again then I increase to 0.03 etc.. (I would hold at 0.05 but haven't had 5 losses in a row yet).
After winning trade back to 0.01.
Hope this helps

Here are results from EA on the daily time frame. On Demo. Trading all usual pairs except CHF
Started April 1st thru Friday close (about 72 hours).
0.02 main trade lot size 0.01 secondary trade size (pretty conservative) Max trades per pair 2
Looks pretty invincible on the Daily time frame. Pretty much hands off about 1150 pips in 3 days.
Looks like this EA a winner Thanks Steve and all contributors

Anybody here know of a way to force a chart period change in code? It just occurred to me that enforcing this every 5 minutes or so would deal with the signals that come and go, yet leave us with pending trades in place that are no longer relevant.

Read the effing manual, ok?

I just had an idea guys.
Ok, so we know that HGB does fantastically well, then he gives back all of those lovely pips he made - happened to me yet again last week.
Here is the idea. We run HGB on demo until he loses a shed load. Then we load him up on our live accounts, let him do his thingy and bank the profits, then shut down live and wait until the demo does crap again.
Anyone with the spare capacity to test this out on two separate demos with Global Prime?

Thanks gringoh. It doesn't quite do the trick as the function also stops whatever uses it from running.
Thanks Andy. I will play with yours tomorrow. I would have done so today but it is complicated for me, and I am working with Zennor on a variant of PPoS that is proving an absolute bugger to convert.
Cheers guys
