exclude pairs in "copy template to all charts script"

Post by OneandOnly666 »

Hi.

Anybody willing to recode the "copy template to all charts script" so it can exclude specific pairs?

I am using a dashboard and have multi instances of eas on 28 other charts. Every time I have to uppdate the other charts I have to take away the dashbord and reload it afterwards.

I use xauusd as my dashboard chart because I dont trade that pair, so excluding that pair would be nice.

Hope some helpful soul are willing to help me with this.

Try this.

Just enter the pairs to ignore.

exclude pairs in "copy template to all charts script"

Worked like a charm. Thanks again Andy.

I do have a question about the code though, Im trying to learn to code.

if (Chart != CurrentChart && StringFind(ignorePairs,ChartSymbol(Chart),0)<0)

I do understand the ignorepair and that it is the specific chart.
But the ,0 and <0 I dont really get. Is the 0 for current timeframe?
And how must it be less than 0?

The 0 means start at the beginning of the string and search for the pairs and if the find is lower than zero(none) apply the template.

Ok, think I get it.
So if there are pairs to be ignored, the find is bigger than 0 and it will not be applying the template to those pairs.

Thanks for the explanation Andy.
