So far it looks like an enjoyable system to me. But I am relying more on price action than TMA band. I'll see how the recovery goes when needed.
The TMA act as a confirmation that the price action is going to move towards nya TMA.... is that right?

It acts as OBOS (Over Bought/Sold), once price nears/cross the upper or lower TMA Band we should start looking for PA setup which is the entry signal.

Fmfx,

what you described, looks to me like a very profitable possibility. Thank you for sharing this. One question, using daily timeframe, trades and moves are going to be 'swing' - do you have a look at fundamentals also or you're going TA way only?

Hi Josch,

Yes i sometimes consider the fundamental aspect, e.g like next week i know the AUD will drop significantly due to bad RBA Rate, so i will watch out for any aud Base pair that is at OB and look for sell signals and watch the Counter pairs that is at OS for Buy signals.

SDX-SweetSpots_v5.2 Psch.ex4
Hi Guys,

I like the idea of using pin candles or engulfing as the trade trigger. I have been trading using TMA for a few years. I use the 4 hr time frame exclusively. Once the upper or lower bands are broken I look for reversal opportunities. Another indicator I use is SDX-Sweetspots so I can quickly see WHERE PA is trying to get to, meaning whole numbers like 31.000 etc... I only have the whole numbers and the .5's on the charts, and most reversals happen once these have been touched.

This works very well, until you get a massive movement in one direction, so a cautious re-entry is the key to survival, as Alpenkorps mentioned.

I am attaching the TMA I use, TMAtrue because it DOES NOT repaint the past. This allows you to find the best ATR multipier etc... setting for each pair by fitting them historically without any curve fitting. I use the defaults for most pairs.

Regards,

Tim
