you should be setting pending orders at the next 20, 40, 60,80, 100.. etc.. i always put my pendings two levels past the signal and my SL one level above the signal.
Example:
Signal at 1.4820
pending at 1.4800
SL at 1.4840
also, you should wait for the closing candle of that signal, so you avoid repaint
i have tested today/yesterday the HGI 17.00 version , i have studied the manual from bob long time before , have opened 4 entry signals(LARGE ARROWS appears) and all curencies are stopped out with loss??
...
MANY THANKS for HELP
Günther,
there are three points:
1. This morning was RBA rate decision.
If you trade at this time, your SL is too small
2. Everyone execute trades on his own MM,
I personally would judge your SL too small trading this TF
3. GB had a red news this morning too, see 1.,
also against the 240 MA trend.
also, you should wait for the closing candle of that signal, so you avoid repaint
I don't do that and neither, l believe, does bob.
no wonder you and bob are millionaires
Maybe 1000's times Bob has said that you open the trade when signal appear (not when the candle close). So... you could be profitable when you are waiting for candle close but IT IS NOT trading Bob's system for sure.

hello josch,
thanks for your reply and help , do you trade BOB HGI LIVE can you tell me your MM with the BOB HGI .....how i can see many traders are different opinions here .... it`not easy for a noob ....
but i feel this GREAT SYSTEM is my right direction .....
I'm trading including the HGI as one essential part of my decisions, not as a standalone.
But I think, even if you trade the HGI only, you may be very profitable. Ancient wisdom:
'Give a profitable strategy to 2 persons, one will fail, the other not.'
First - the timeframe: the larger you choose, the better you'll 'see' the trend (H4/D1/W1).
If you trade this, you have to look for being able to trade tomorrow again (as Bob said too).
Means, your position-size has to fit your account-size and your sense of well-being.
Because fx trading is a lot of psychology, help yourself not getting nervous, if your trade
direction is wrong - otherwise it's the best premise to make wrong decisions.
I'm looking only to my positions as whole amount (in debit) relating to my account. I would
loose some confidence, if there's summing up around 10-15%. This include, that there are
some trades with a lot of ct against my opinion (1 ct means 100 pips).
One of the advantages of trading currencies is the possibility to size down your position,
so that it fit the above said. This leaves you free to add to a position, which you opened
for example with a HGI signal, which was going 'wrong way' at the next signal.
Look at EUR/USD H4: the EUR was weakening since months. At mar 12 there was an HGI
arrow down around 1.0625 after a retracement. Low was 1.0470. You may take your profit
or looking for more, because your trend opinion still is the same: down!
EUR strenthened until FOMC pop to 1.10, following 2 HGI H4 up arrows. High was reached
at 1.10, there it turned and you got 2 down arrows again. Mar 31 price was around 1.0722,
before EUR went up again. Now it's ranging around 4 ct since midth of march.
If you're able to manage the situation described above, even you ignored the blue arrow
as closing signal ref your first short, I think, you'll be a successful trader.

Same for any text on screen
Hope this is useful to anyone who doesn't already know it...........

ANOTHER TRICK :
open a chart and make changes as you like - timeframes, color, adding indicators etc ...
and save as "default.tpl"
After you saved your template open new charts and see what happens ?
Aye, thanks indeed. I'm a total beginner and today was a good day. I guess it could all be luck though.
Caught the signals, did a quick check on the daily and a couple of Forexsites, also checked if there was any heavy news inc. Went like this:
ss.PNG
+ 135,3 pips.
