Well, waiting overnight to close paid off for me again. My account gained another 700 dollars while I slept. I just did a "close all".

This account was started with 1000USD one month ago and now sits at $6044!

Now's a good time to say thanks to Steve, Bob and the other contributors for making this a reality!

Wolfeman, not sure if 1e has the stoch filter or not, but if so are you using the stoch filter?

The version I'm using doesn't have the stoch, that came out a little later. I really like the idea of the stoch though; I plan to try it soon on a different account.

Wolfeman, not sure if 1e has the stoch filter or not, but if so are you using the stoch filter?

Here is V 1g, for the coders. It is an attempt to overcome signals that appear and then the conditions for them change and so the signal is no longer relevant.

Here is what the code is intended to do:

detect that there are pendings in place, sent during the current candle.
every 10 minutes, create a new chart, load up the original template, then deletes the existing chart. arts suggested this to me in a pm - it is basically how Charts Into Alphabetical Order works.
reloading the template should mean loading a fresh instance of HGI, which will not be storing the signal in its buffer if the conditions are no longer there to justify the signal.
delete the pending trades and close an open order if the signal is no longer valid.

New variables:

ChartRedrawMinutes is an input that controls the intervals at which HGB will do a chart replacement. Default 10 minutes.
datetime EarliestTradeTime line 291. CountOpenTrades() stores the time of the trade sent furthest back in time - line 3770/1 - then calls IsChartRefreshNeeded() if necessary at lines 3777-9. The function is directly below.
LookForTradeClosure(int ticket) had code added to delete pending trades if the signal has disappeared.

This is a bit of a blunt instrument and I am not certain it will work. I know the chart reproduction works because it is doing so on my demo. It is just a question of whether everything else falls into place. Also, it buggers up having our charts neatly arranged in alphabetical order, so if anyone has a better way of doing all this, then please say so.

Andy, I started by looking at your snippet from a couple of pages ago but there are functions and variable definitions missing from it.

Have a look guys, and see what you think.

Here is an update to 1g. HGB deleted all the pendings at the open of the new candle - a logic failure on my part.

The code that looks at whether the trades should be deleted following a signal disappearing needs to be in its own individual function - CloseAndDeleteTradesOnFalseSignal() at line 2887.

With the market being as extended as it is right now, I thought it would be a good time to test out the stoch filter. New demo set up; should be enlightening
