Sorry I have been out of the loop lately with other priorities.

Do you have 5xxx - 8xxx templates for the latest PP Dash? I tried the ones in Post 2 and they corrupted my Dash.

it seems to generate more accurate shorter swing trades. Since I set very conservative BE/JS, whereby BE=25pips, JS=20, and profitlock=10, some trades have close out at BE

But overall profitability is better. I find the original template have too over large JS which meant that given today's market, retracement, stagnation can pull our profits from under our noses.

If u are able and willing to give it a spin, pls test this setting and let me know your results. I would like to optimize my BE/JS/profitlock settings better. Hated it when all my profits got suck out by BE.
Warning: A lot of my trades exited out at 10-30 with some at 50pips profits. I only used MTPM bundled with PPD (my nickname for this EA), not ES to manage my trades.

Forgive me for being dim, but 6001, TP=30, it will likely TP out first b4 hitting BE of 50 pips, so why is there a need to even set BE of 50?

I've spent several days now reading and rereading and attempting to implement this with some success- WOW- what a system this appears to be. Please add my thanks to everyone's generosity for sharing and certainly to Gringoh for his time, effort and knowledge. New to forex, I've looked for a 'basics' thread, and as I can't find it I'll ask here. I understand and can apply templates to an EA, but how do they work with an indi such as the dashboard? What do I do with the tpl files attached here (such as 906001 - PP Dashboard H4.tpl)? When I attach the tpl to a chart I see the dashboard but there's no indicator on the chart (just objects), and when I place the indi on, it kicks out the template. Sorry to not understand how this works.

Hi, did you read post 1 and 2, and then the pdf guide in post 1?
I think it is well explained.

I'm clearly missing the reference to application of the templates to the indi- I've just been through posts 1 and 2 for what must be the 5th time and the shell guide makes no reference to this that I can find- point me to it if I'm missing it, please?

Hi Leslie

I think the templates 5xxx-8xxx are for an earlier version of the indi. Hopefully Gringoh can confirm.

I suggest you load the indi and MPTM just to get some trades going. Then start playing with the Indi settings to see how it affects the trading.

Hi Leslie

1) Make sure u have forced load the history in order to avoid hanging
2) Save template to Empty4 data folder template folder, and mtpm settings to presets
3) Put up 2 blank charts, one for PPD and MTPM. Right click against expert folder on Empty4 and select "update" this will immediately make your EA's indicators whatever nots "visible" w/o having to close down and reopen Empty4
4) Drag MTPM onto 2nd chart. Select load and load up Q's .set file
5) On 1st chart, choose template and select Q's template

PS: Do note, my Empty4 hanged despite I hv pre downloaded history and its an ongoing demo acct. I think may have no choice but to uninstall and reinstall the entire Empty4, redownload the history and then apply template

OR I will just open Q's template in notepad and try my best to c which input I shld changed!
As its now hanged and could never open Empty4 properly I hv to close down Empty4, looks like i hv to reinstall another Empty4 and try again from beginning. I will also hv to go delete that data folder to clean that up!

Gringoh: can u pls help to advise what may have gone wrong?

I have solved my own Empty4 hanging.

Leslie:
Pls do the following
1) Copy&paste forceloadhistory ea into script folder
2) open a chart, pull this script onto the chart
3) Click on expert tab below Empty4 and MAKE SURE ALL cur pairs are loaded with history. To ensure that, display ALL pairs onto market watch window. CHECK the market watch to ensure all pairs as shown on page 1 is loaded with history
*To display all pairs, right click in market watch window on Empty4, click symbols, then click "Show" against EACH folder, except "exotics", "metals", "CFD", "commodities" if any. Only ensure all FX symbols are selected. You may hide SGD bases
4) Once ALL pairs on page 1 is loaded with history, apply Q's template
5) Save profile, you are done!

if u r still lost or frustrated that this didnt work, pls skype me lym1609 and I shall start TV (team viewer) to assist you.

PS: Empty4 was hanged coz Q was using ALL pairs whilst I hv only enable pairs that I wanted to trade. So despite fact that template was applied to an ongoing Empty4 that has been quietly running PPD for 2 wks it still hanged!

If you are trading 5001/6001/8002 you should have 3 indi on 3 charts as well as 3 MTPM. Your attachments is for which strategy? (summary of major differences)
5001: No pendings which is set in MTPM (SL=100 for all 3 strategies)
6001: Pending at Tp of 30 BE lock of 50
8002: Pending TP is floating no BE lock

PS: I loaded up your MTPM for 4h and check 3x, you didnt set JS (its false) but did set JS SL. Its not jumping at all (I checked my results on Empty4). You also didnt set BE (its false) yet set JumpAfterBE=True. Below is your MTPM settings.

Sorry If I am dim, I just dont understand how u managed to trade 3 different strategies with ONE settings of MTPM or ONE indi setting
