A few more little changes to TradeReport:

I have added now also the option to group trade totals by Order Comment, and I have added some selectable colour schemes, via the parameter colourScheme:

Hi rene great stuff, in the trade comment box I can only seem to load one filter at the time, ie, rad trade, or trend multi etc, when I seperate each one with a comma the indie doesn't load at all, i'm obviously doing something wrong cheers

Believe me, the indi does load, but it finds no trades, and you get an empty screen. Eg. if you set CommentFilter to "Rad,Trend" it is looking for trades with the text "Rad,Trend" somewhere in the Orrder Comment. Since there are no trades that satisfy that requirement, the indi can't find any and displays an empty screen. CommentFilter was never meant to be used as a comma-separated list of text strings. If I would go this route, which I won't, there are many more regular expressions, to be considered.

Rene, I am stepping in here. What you are looking at here is 'mission creep'.

Guys, us coders here loathe this.

Here is what 'mission creep' means to us coders:

• someone asks for something. 'something' can be anything from a simple modification to an existing piece of software to a totally new something-or-other. We provide the 'something'. Paid for or not paid for matters not a jot. We did what we were asked.
• the 'someone' is delighted with what we did, but wants this teensy bit extra and the process begins again.
• and again.

Guess what the ultimate result is? Unless you are a moron you will reply, "Fuck you. Get another mug to do this for you."

Ok, so the language might be different but the sentiment will be the same.

Rene is a nice guy who is invaluable here. Most of the rest of you are probably nice guys as well, but I don't care. SHF can do without you.

I will ruthlessly delete the registration of anybody stupid enough to ask for further 'enhancements' to Rene's already fantastic offering here - especially when they show by their posting that they were too stupid to grasp what he was offering in the first place.

By the by, all this is before some dimwit accuses the coder (usually me) of a coding failure because said dimwit is too thick to use the piece of software correctly. Guess how much that riles us coders? Ok, so maybe only me, but are you the dimwit prepared to take the chance of losing your membership here by testing out whom it is you are irritating?

Don't even think about going there. Every time you do, someone will want something else.

What you have offered here is unbelievably good. People can learn to do some coding if they want anything more.

In Post 1 of this thread, I have posted a maintenance release of this TradeReport indicator. Under some circumstances (by clicking on something else than a column title), it was possible to get the 'array out of range' error. If that were the case, the indicator would 'hang' and would not delete the screen objects when unloaded. This bug has now been fixed.

Thanks this is really a great indicator.

At the moment I'm using it to see my current day trading report. So I change the start day every day.
I'm not a coder but I was trying to change the code so it would take the current day. I was looking in the help file of MetaEditor how I could take the current day as start value. I found I could use TimeCurrent(), but this also takes the current time.
Can somebody give me a push in the right direction or a little help what code to use so StartDate uses the current day at 00.00hr.

I want to change this line:
input datetime StartDate = D'2015.01.01 00:00';

to something like:
input datetime StartDate = TimeCurrent();

But then just take the current day instead of day and time.

Or you could merely restrict your Empty4 platform to holding today's trades. Much easier than trying to fight CrapQl4 time and date code.

Hi Renex and followers,

I´d like to ask for a modification, if possible, which displays to show not only open orders in profit or loss, selected for a single symbol or by optional choice a basket by true-/false definition.

The TradeReport indicator provides already such feature. Thanks to Renex.

But in addition I´d like to define a profit-limit in currency (for account control), say in the example 20 ($,€) profit to get an pop-up alert or/and an email-message, when the defined profit-limit in summary for the open/active orders has been crossed.

I assume that some followers will immediately ask for a Loss-Limit-alert (Net P/L), because it might be sense to incorporate an alert also for a Loss-level (-limit), which might be more important.
