I think it is premature to abandon the original Dibs ea. I set up a demo on H1 TF with lot size 1 and forexkiwi 400, thinking that it was going to trade rather infrequently.

However, this morning the ea sends seven trades, all winners, bagging over 300 pips. The forexkiwi failed to kick in when the margin fell below 400. I have since reduced the lot size to 0.2.

P.S. No trades from Dibs mod H1 and H4 demos.

The ea gained as many as 450 pips. I tried to manually close all the trades for the day but failed because the open trades are "off quotes", very weird for a demo account. I suppose if it was a real live account, I would have to phone up the criminal to close the trades.

Instead of the lot size = 1, had I used lot size = 0.2, it works out as $900 for 450 pips gain, or 9% of an 10k opening balance. You would probably say I got lucky and you are probably right.

No trades from Dibs mod demos on either H1 or H4.

However, the original Dibs ea is opening plenty of trades on H1 and none so far on H4. Report over the weekend.

The original DIBS EA was opening trades this week, results of H4 followed by H1 attached.

P.S. As the present DIBS MOD is not opening trades, I have clobbered together another one with Steve's Trend module which compiled without any errors and is sending trades in the Empty4 strategy tester. JJgengis has kindly added his modifications for stop-level errors. This new version will be run on demo this coming week. If it is opening trades and trading normally, it will be posted here.

The original Dibs ea has taken only two trades on H4 but is a prolific trader on H1 but is losing money.

I have reduced the TP and BE for H1 from 100 to 30 and 25 to 20 respectively.

Meanwhile, the new version with a trend module has not opened any trades on my demo during the week but JJgengis has PM me to say that it has taken two trades during the week. I am waiting for confirmation from him before I post it here.

JJgengis has confirmed that version v2.2 with a trend module was sending trades correctly last week on H4 TF.

I am not completely certain the trend module is working properly, so I have not updated the ea in post 1. I am posting it here so that any learned coders visiting here would have a look at it and see if they can spot any errors.

There is nothing more I can do.
