Milanese,
This will be a manual trading using APTM.
Supposed we have a buy position when Candle cross above 50 sma when a setup bar closed at 25% or higher. We enter a buy. We want to manage the trade using AllPairTradeManager(APTM) to cross trade when candle fall below 50 sma. Could this include this as an option in APTM to do that.
Could you put 50 sma as an external variable so that other people could use their own sma strategy to close trade.
Likewise, the reverse for sell set up.
Thanks in advance if this is possible.

@taipan as this is avery special request, I will add this only, if more users here will find this usefull , as I will not blowup the APTM with functions only useful for one user, I hope you will understand that.taipan » Sun Apr 26, 2015 8:23 am wrote:Milanese,

Hi Milanese and followers,
I do not agree to misuse the APTM for trailing and trading open order signals. The APTM can manage each opened order by any separate EA or similiar like provided with the HPEA, be it at the actual symbol or by basket.
There are a lot of high sophisticated EAs, which will place orders by certain conditions resp. indications, something like candle crossing Moving Averages signals, the APTM will take over to manage.
Therefore sorry and once again, I do not see any need to blow up the functionalities in this way.
The APTM has the advantages to manage each opened order, independent how the order has been triggered.
Btw: I did read in other threads, that traders and some coders did bother with some additional and advanced automatic trailing techniques.
I´m convinced there are still some additional improvements, refering also to my previous and older posts, but it is not the topic for today.
Trade well friends

Hi Tommaso:
Regardless of how a trade is opened I can see a definite benefit in adding the ability to close a trade (any trade) on a cross of a moving average. I monitor many of my manual trend trades using a moving average. If you decide to add this feature to APTM as a TP you might also add it as a SL. I could also see giving a choice of moving averages to the user since I use the LWMA on the open rather than the previously mentioned SMA.
In reviewing what I have just written perhaps a brand new Trade Manager called the Moving Average Trade Manager might be a the most satisfactory solution. LOL

I fully support your good suggestion to create another EA based on MA. Hope other traders can support this suggestion.

[NewFunctions!] APTM
apr.28th,2015
As many users asked for adding the possibility for using MA as SL I have decided to add this optional to the APTM. It is easy to use as setting
The new inputs are:
Too this version is enhaced, if you use
As always you will find the new build 218 attached at the bottom of the first post. If you have questions, ideas ecc... please post them here...
Cheers

useMAasSL to true will automatic adapt all other settings to work perfect with this setting. Note: If your trade is against the MA directed the APTM will use an emergeny SL and not close your trade, this is a security feature. The basic MA SL will only be moved if the MA moves in direction of your trade. If you use it with ManageOnlyActualSymbol=true ( remeber to set ManageAllOpenTrades=false) the user display will show you the actual used MA value. You are free to choose the MA-type, period, TF and shift you like.The new inputs are:
Code: Select all
extern string SLset2="---MA as SL Settings----";
extern string SLset3="---this will set the MA as SL----";
extern string SLset4="---this will disable all incompatible settings----";
extern string SLset5="---like ATR-SL,SetBEandJump automatic----";
extern bool useMAasSL=false;
extern int MaTimeFrame=240;
extern int MaPeriod = 55;
extern int MaMethod = MODE_SMA;
extern int MaAppliedPrice = PRICE_CLOSE;
extern int MaShift=1;ManageOnlyActualSymbol=true ( remember to set ManageAllOpenTrades=false) , the closeALL button will now only close the trades of the trades with the actual symbol the display show only the trades in this pair ecc. Note as single pair TM you can use on every pair a different APTM instance if you want.As always you will find the new build 218 attached at the bottom of the first post. If you have questions, ideas ecc... please post them here...
Cheers

AllPairTradeManager(APTM)
Hi Tommaso,
I love your APTM. It's a great tool that I use for my manual trading.
However I noticed that APTM and Grafenwalder (latest version: orlando) are fighting each other continuously changing SL values. I have APTM set to not trade all open trades and enabled by magic=0. As far I understand only manual trades have magic=0. Still APTM manages all open trades.
I managed to control APTM activity by also enabling Manage by Comment set to NULL. However I would like in the future to set APTM to manage trades open by different EA (different magic numbers) and manual trades. How can I do this? Thanks.
Regards,
Fernando
