Seeing OP_SELLSTOP order send failed with error(3): invalid trade parameters in the log on GP ...

As the previous log entry says: Placing Sell Stop for 8.120000000000001 of AUDCAD at 0.00000 I assume two things (can't fix myself, no source...):

1. NormalizeDouble for lot size calculation missing - maybe
2. Something wrong for the stop stop calculation

Btw. I'm using ALR_AutoTPandSL set to TRUE (which obviously is the reason, because setting to false calculates the SL/TP correctly). I'm not sure if the automatic calculation isn't done yet or needs some fixing (if you want me to look into it, just drop me a note)

Hi Andy the automatic calculation is not correct embedded so far, so please use the setting ALR_AutoTPandSL=false I will do an update without this user selectable input, as it is for the strategy not previsted to use the auto calaculation...

The EA is updated to version 1.08 I removed the ALR_AutoTPandSL code and I added a new normalize lot code to the ALR manager part, that should make this part more stable and avoid errors..

Now that we have an EA to play with we can run some back tests to compare settings.

I did a comparison on the EU using both 40/120 and 50/150. for testing purposes I set max trades to 20 and max drawdown really high (I forget exactly) in order to see just how many turns it would take and how much drawdown would be needed.

The interesting difference is that while 50/150 made less money, the draw down was also much less. The max was 15 turns.

Hi Dewey, I think the difference of profit in both BT is due just to the different of the total number of trades. If you limit the number of trades for both combination cases, in order to take the same number of trades for both, you will do a better comparison of results.

Just wanted to check if there is a minimum starting capital for the ALR calculations to still be valid. Sorry if you posted this elsewhere.

with 2000 I wouldn't go any larger than .03 lots for initial order

Dewel, I were thinking about a hedge strategy with ALR. This is sending a buy and sell position at the same time, RR 1:1. One of these will get the TP and the other one will be recovered by ALR. This way we will get a winner all time we send the hedge...
