Note guys that I have started deleting posts by members who clearly do not understand how PPoS trades. Time for some discipline around here.

V 1j is in post 1. There is a new input at the top of the Trading inputs.

CloseTradesOnTrendChange: if enabled, this tells PPoS to close market orders and delete pending trades if the trend is no longer with the trades.

PPoS kicked into gear this week after a period where he did nothing for ages.

I just closed the entire position for an account gain of c. 25%. I am still not back to the account opening balance yet, but am a heck of a lot closer than I was at the start of the week.

Noobs, I forgot to mention NFP in my wrup on Sunday. NFP = US Non Farm Employment Change and is released at 13.30 London time on the first Friday of the month that is not also the first of the month. There was a time when this news release caused terror amongst traders as it could move markets hundreds of pips in seconds.

There was a period recently when it caused barely a blip and a lot of us stopped taking any notice. It has started again to make its presence felt recently, so any of you trading PPoS on a live trading account would do well to close your trades and pocket your profits, and knock off trading for the week..

V 1k is in post 1. There is no hurry to download it, so you may as wait until it becomes relevant to you.

Markets often reverse direction during the last week of the month and members have suggested that not trading from around about the 23rd will avoid giving back a lot of profits. There are two inputs in the "Specific strategy inputs" section, under "End of month":
StopTradingDay: if > 0, PPoS will send no further trades from this day onwards, until the open of the next MN1 candle.

CloseAndDeleteTrades: thyis tells PPoS to close market trades and delete pendings - enabled by default.

Ok guys, you all know how reluctant I am to acknowledge a problem that has not occurred on my platform. I tend to assume that as something is working here, then it is something that you are doing wrong if it does not work there.

I set up a pal of mine with HGB and PPoS a few weeks ago.

Last week, my PPoS demo account kicked into life well and made several hundred pips - GP demo account. Paul's stayed stum. Same broker. Paul lives about 5 miles from here. Default inputs same as mine.

Tonight, my PPoS send pendings for gj, uc, uj. Bugger all on Paul's demo.

Anyone else having the non-operating PPoS syndrome?

Mine seems to work OK, these are the orders (no CHF's, no Multi's)

Hi Steve, I seems to be experiencing this strange issue at first as well. I was patient for all of 7 days

and I also checked with one of the SH mbrs on his PPOS/PPD. He had same issues as well so I thought all's well. But at same time, members who posted myfx shows pending trades being taken.

This is what I tried and so far was successful. Besides force loading histories, SHUT DOWN the Empty4, REOPEN it (I stumble onto this "solution" coz I always close on Sat and reopen on Sun/Mon morning) to force CPU to clean itself of crap4's bits and pieces

Try it and c whether it will refresh the Empty4 memory somehow (seems the refresh function in crap4 is crap sometimes).

A few weeks ago Empty4 for some reason changed my default folders to: C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\ff95ba150e7cc065938f48c7ab677e1c\MQL4.

If this happened to you, make sure you install the EA and supporting indi's by selecting File, Open Data Folder, then select MQL4, then the relevant folder that the EA,s\Indicators are stored in.

Steve, pls also check
1) UAC settings on Paul's VPS/PC. It must be ON.
2) Open crap4, select File==>Open Data Folder and make sure its pointed to C:\Appdata\username\roaming\metaquotes\mql and not default of c:\program files (x86)\brokie name\ path.

If UAC is OFF, and you have copied all the PPOS thingies MANUALLY into the c:\appdata\....\mql folder crap4 still CANT "SEE" it. Once u tried to open via crap4 data folder it will point u to the defaulted c drive program files folder which u have used to create the crap4 installation.

Have fun troubleshooting and dont break your fingers. Your ability to play beautiful music is 2nd to none (except our ability to generate/make sure u got more white hair)
