For the a-b-c pattern, below are good references from CJ's BARF posts. Notice there's a symmetry to it.

I also recall a post about where to look for such patterns ( or any pattern for that matter).

The answer is as CJ said several times: WHERE THE FOX BRINGS BULLS/BEARS TOGETHER FOR THE SLAUGHTER -----> Support/Resistance zones, ------> Pivot points, -----> Fibonacci retracements, --------> Round numbers,....& so on
