Today my pending trades massively ran in to "error 130", when trying to readjust TP/SL and not meeting brokers minimums.
After searching the forum found that it could be directly related to PPS PendingBufferPips variable and that remedy could be setting 1/5 ADR per specific pair.
What if MarketInfo() function could be used to lookup the minimum TP/SL difference and adjusted automatically?

Code: Select all
MarketInfo(Symbol(),MODE_STOPLEVEL)
// Dont forget to multiply by points
// e.g. :
newSL = Bid - MarketInfo(Symbol(),MODE_STOPLEVEL)*Point;

Hi all, is it possible to get this coded in PPoS?
CloseAllOpenTradesOnFridayAtBrokerTime: XX
I am successfully trading PPoS on both live and demo accounts with GlobalPrime. I use 28 pairs on demo and on live I have removed all CHF pairs.
(I am trading as Pipcruisers first idea: Only main trades, no multitrades. And with xfactornos settings)
I have analysed my trades back to January 25th and found that I have got +2038 pips on live account and +1846 pips on my demo account (CHF pairs excluded).
So...more pips and less stress on my live account when manually closing out trades about 2 hours before market close for avoiding gaps.
It would be nice to have this automated.

hmmmm ... two hours only until markets close ....ok, that's not so much time: what will you do, if you are sitting in a nasty DD ? Will you close regardless to the losses and accept them ? OR wouldn't it be better to close even much earlier achieving a preset weekly target ? I'd prefer the last appoach .... just my two cents :hi:

Mostly I close all trades at London close friday. I dont care if DD was high or profit high. All closed before weekend. The DD had never been nasty trading only main trades with conservative lot size so far this year.AGT » 14 Jun 2015, 17:24 wrote:hmmmm ... two hours only until markets close ....ok, that's not so much time: what will you do, if you are sitting in a nasty DD ? My asumption is that CloseTradesOnTrendChange=Yes should be able to cover the above situation, allowing to continue good trades and closing unprofitable ones, without weekly reseting.qvintus » Sun Jun 14, 2015 7:02 pm wrote:Mostly I close all trades at London close friday. Question for the group,
After reading through lots of pages and looking at PPoS, it seems it crushes trending markets. Since markets consolidate usually before reversing directions, why not just turn off the EA during a period of consolidation and wait for a new trend to be established. Trade a different pair while waiting.
Has this ever been tried? Thoughts?

Yep I agree with you ! My simple approach could be switching off the whoöe platform for the rest of a trading week after collecting a basket created by a big trend / market move. Do it once a week with an 8-10% result is quite enough for a living.

Hi everyone,
What I see is the system sometimes misses good opportunities for reversal because the candle is opposite to the rules. For example if we are looking to buy we need a bearish candle. However sometimes the candle is bullish (see the attached GBPNZD from few days back).
Is it possible and will it be an improvement to the system to check if the open/close price is within a certain pip range (maybe 15-20 pips) ?

Do you remember "Ceterum censeo ..." by Cato the older. The only difference to me, he had more to say than that. Let me recite my "Ceterum censeo

http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 50#p117510 by The_Snowman and
http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 70#p120504 by me are all asking for a different look back definition.
Instead of last Month, last Week and last Day the desirable option - as I understand, but please modify, if you see a better option - would be
the ultimate 4 Weeks/the ultimate 20 trading days optional x days back
the ultimate Week/the ultimate 5 trading days optional y days back
the ultimate day
The reason of this request is, that after 15-20 days into the actual month the trading definitions detach from the actual market behavior and the "best solution" is to turn off the EA (which actually does not allow to unfold its real potential).
So coders please, give us a hand
Thanks Mike
