What I did forget to say was, "Yes" to the volatility thingy. Do you mean the VolatilityIndicator in the custom indicators window of Empty4?

I only get the attached information. When I leave the input blank I get some more exotic pairs but EURUSD and XAUUSD still missing

What are the criteria for the display of the selected pairs? How can I select the pairs I want to see displayed.

Mike - the indicator only displays the pairs that meet the criteria as mentioned in post #1. i.e. it displays pairs you should consider trading as the RSI indicates they are trending and moving in the right direction. Anything not displayed doesn't meet the criteria at that time. The list will change over time as pairs meet the criteria/cease to meet the criteria.

It would facilitate decision making if the data could be presented in a more visually recognisable way but really it's not a big deal.

I tweaked the indicator to display the pairs in order of "rate of RSI change:"

The numbers in brackets are the RSI change today and yesterday. So e.g. GBPJPY is at the top of the list, with its RSI jumping 7 since yesterday. But the day before it was flat. USDJPY jumped 6 today but DROPPED 4 the day before. So maybe EURCAD or GBPUSD are better candidates, since their RSI rose steadily for the last two days. (Or not. I'm not sure if this is useful information.) Their RSIs are also lower so it's probably earlier in the trend move. Does that help, SWG?

You might want to consider incorporating pittbull's logic to the RSI indicator for the most profitable trades at the bottom of the RSI display indi:

Took a bath last week on demo.

Too many buy xxxJPY trades. Great a couple of weeks ago, not so good when JPY does not cooperate.

So, not to myself. Remember the principle of balanced trading.

Live, some small profits buying GBPJPY. Not much, but profit is profit.

Hmmmmm. I had a great week on Demo last week. Although I took all profits off the table prior to the employment numbers.

I have not kept the demo going - I always have so much to do that my demoing tends to slip back.

I am using this method on my live account and have come to this conclusion: let Rsi establish the trend but do not jump into it until it rises above 60 for a buy and falls below 40 for a sell.

This is sort-of in line with Bob using 10.2 Tma Slope to establish the overall trading direction, then the break of the pivot to trigger the trade.

In fact, I am hoping that Bob's superior system will replace this one, but it is working well for now.
