Hi there folks,

As always thanks for sharing your hard work with us.

I run a back test on the EA and it seems that EA sometimes does not recognizes the (right) trend direction (or as it were trend arrow direction). In this particular occasion (see attached) the arrow is pointing down and the EA opens a bunch of Buy positions.

Second; there are arrows on the chart but no trades placed by the EA.

I'm not sure if it has to do with my data or the code is not functioning properly. I run the test several times and turned off all the other Trade modes i.e. Rad, Wawy...

Appreciate your comments.

Hi Ross,

A friendly word of advice that will allow you to continue posting and asking questions in this forum, "CEASE & DESIST" any mention of backtesting and secondly, NEVER accuse the code of being wrong unless you bring plenty of ammunition to the table and a very good quality flak jacket.

ross123, you might care to take note of the postings that followed yours.

I take very kindly towards people who post along the lines of, "Steve, you idiot, your code is rubbish. Again. Here is what it should be................" They provide a solution to a bug that I had not even noticed.

I do not take it kindly when idiots suggests that something they have done wrong might be caused by a fault in code that is working flawlessly and seamlessly for everyone else.

Members of my forum are welcome to waste as much time as they want backtesting in Crapergy Tester. They are not welcome to post their irrelevant results - you have perhaps noticed the absence of such posts? There are good and cogent reasons for their absence. Have a quick read of http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 83#p108983 - this explains why backtesting in Crapergy Tester is a waste of time.

I trust I have expressed myself politely and have not expressed my true inner feelings about your post. I can express myself more bluntly if required to do so. Do say, if that would help.

This EA has certainly made an encouraging start.

This is 0.01 lots GP on a $1,000 account demo.

So patmontes, I am not going to scream, "No don't, not yet." Just promise it really is a tiny account and that you can genuinely afford to lose the funds if it all goes bad. OK?

Back to my demo, I have umpteen open trades showing about 120 pips drawdown - stuff all compared to the number of trades. Live, I would have closed them on Friday night the instant they went into a tiny profit, which they did several times. The luxury of demo allowed me to leave them open; I will let you know if opening gaps destroys the account.

It seems to be performing well... I think the logic is very sound......am watching it closely and may start to use it live myself this week-

Here are my results (OOTB) of the last 6 trading days. I trade the 4H TF with 0.01 lots for every 1.000. Global closure of MPTM is set to 2% of the balance. This didn't get hit in the last 6 days. The DD is at 0.82% right now.

I will run my demo account the next 6 weeks and then I will decide to go live or not.
