I noticed that as well. The EJ, AU and Gold trades all stopped early but not sure why. I will have a look tonight when I get home.royal » Tue Aug 04, 2015 6:03 am wrote:Hey Dewey!
Something seems to be wrong with the recent ALR trades. For example the EURJPY turns stopped after the 8th ALR turn:

The FLOW Plus ALR EA
Hi,
since everybody is giving the core code of the EAs would it be possible to get this also for The FLOW Plus ALR EA? I am at given time using a commercial EA since months with very good results so I know this as a black box but the theory behind it very much. I would love to involve into this issue ALR and give you my feedback what would be good to have into this The FLOW Plus ALR EA.
Im now checking all ALR in this forum and will give my feedback on it. Perhaps we can develop this a step further.
Thanks

agree on that. I would even make a confidential agreement on this, but I got your point. Since I am using a commercial product at given time, I could at least give my comments what it have, since I have given me my input to the producer of the product.
What I want is 2 things, to give my knowledge and 2nd is my pure private interest is to be independent from the commercial product and run it free on my accounts. So perhaps over time you would share your core code with me
I will also give you the link to my account what have less then 6 months a profit of 1200%. 600% is manual trading and 600% is pure ALR trading.
I will start with my first comments.
What I mean is needed for a good ALR is the following:
The calculation of the ALR are over the
1. loss recovery zone,
2. exit zone (same for both exits),
3 spread (auto oder fix)
4. profit 1. trade
5. profit in ALR modus
6. max trades
7. hedge modus for the last trade as true/false (in case of last trade did not work out the last trade is set that total lot size sell = total lot size buy, very helpfully specially in times when a trade goes for days and when the shit hits the fan its always when your not affront of your PC. At least gives you time to make manually correction trades)
8. possibilities when marked are to wild to make also a slippage correction when the next trade is placed or a new calculation for the exit point (if parameter is set = true for slippage)
9. Trailing points for the 1. trade with max steps
10. trailing for the exit and also max steps
11. Of course magic nr and comments what is clear.
I guess the most I have seen here have all the points but what I haven't seen is the hedge and slippage modus.
My setup is mostly 30/60 or 50/50 even with 19/41 (loss recovery zone/exit zone) and this of course let the drawdown relative big, what is clear. I am also working with 50/150. At given time I am running 30/60 at counter trading where a correction in market will with high probability happens.
Cheers
Thanks

Welcome to the thread. The original ALR used hedging and kept multiple orders open until TP or Full SL was finally hit. The ALR 2 version used here closes the last trade and opens a new one instead of using hedging. If you look at the numbers in the original ALR thread, the ALR 2 version has a lot less risk that versions you will elsewhere.europer » Tue Aug 11, 2015 8:48 am wrote:agree on that. ALR 2 Trade manager: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =81&t=4321
ALR: start here and read post 1: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 682#p94504
Then jump ahead to posts in Early August 2014 (I don’t have time to look for it right now) that start explaining ALR 2

You could use the core code from Spider's ALR 2 Trade Manager as a starting point: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 792#p97774europer » Tue Aug 11, 2015 9:53 am wrote:
