Trading Chart Price vs MarketWatch (rant:Shenanigan Central)

Well I am learning what a wonderful piece of crap Empty4 is more with each and every passing day.

I recently ran into a problem with FXCM's new price model and Empty4's inability to trade anything but what's on the chart.

Apparently they've hacked Empty4 in such a way as to reflect their new pricing structure but at the same time the charts are reporting the old pricing model (the spreads) so when I would try to code an EA for trading MarketWatch's prices all went well but the horizontal lines on the chart are the ones that Empty4 obeys. So if you are thinking you are going to use stops and TPs that are based on MarketWatch prices, think again. It doesn't work.

I have since moved over to ATC to get rid of that annoyance. And the problem, for the most part, is solved.

What I am running into now is Empty4's inability to tell you with accuracy when the Ask is below the open ( red candle). This in turn affects how I am doing candle color detections. Of course Bid above open should be green but this seems to be slowing down how the global variables are being handled.

So as a work around I have had to use BID for candle color detection because Empty4 doesn't report it properly even when you ask for it correctly.

Sorry to rant but I just had to vent somewhere. The only reason I make any mention of this at all is for the fact that if you are trying to code multiple timeframes using global variables and marketwatch be prepared for some Empty4 screwing based on the Bid/Ask lines on all charts.

I long for the day when I can convert all my code to python/c and just use an API somewhere to get rid of this platform.
