Hi,
try this version, I've added the corner and window for the text and added the marker to show which bar the trade(s) were opened on.

By the way, if you move the text label you will be prompted to update the settings with the new position coordinates, don't know if you had noticed that. it makes positioning it simple. "

Hannele, I just remembered what I wanted to ask you and Renexxx for Now, do you by any Chance know where I can find an Indicator that Displays the M5, M15 and M30 Highs and Lows, Since you guys have Graduated to the Gizmotological Level I am sure you might be able to spring out with something close to what I am asking for as I have a Brain wave and would like to see if one can be coded, something's forming in terms of an Idea in this Little Brain of mine....

My thanks to those members with knowledge who were kind enough to reply helpfully to some of the more moronic posts here. You put me to shame. Your answers have disappeared along with the morons' questions.

Cretins, this thread is about trading with HGI. It is not about your inability to read post 1 and set up your charts. There are a number of threads for dummies where you could have asked your imbecilic questions without fear of retribution. Instead, you chose to post them here.

If your question has disappeared, it is because I think you are a titwit. Do feel free to ask for a definition of 'titwit' if you are unsure of the meaning of this insult aimed at your frighteningly low intellectual lack-of-ability.

I will be keeping a closer eye on what is happening here, and will delete the registrations of dimwits too stupid and lazy to do the basic reading. Fellow mods, I expect you to do the same.

My EA is calling HGI (HGI_v17.00.ex4) with iCustom.
The first post mentions that some previous version have the Hurst filter disabled (the word was de-activated), and I assume it cannot be "turned on" when using iCustom.

I'd like to use Hurst filter within the HGI.
So the question is, when I call HGI_v_17.00 is the Hurst filter available to be switched on?

Well, what a journey. I have just finished reading every word of the 213 pages and 2129 posts in this thread (some more than once).
I have learned so much and feel like I've witnessed the maturing of the HGI over the life of this thread. For those that haven't read the entire thread from start to finish, I highly recommend it. All those questions you want answers too are in there! Here are some of the big ticket items I learned from this thread:
- The HGI works! Very very well. Once you understand what the arrows and lines all mean, you can use it in your own way to compliment your trading style (and the answer to those things and more are in the thread!).
- The HGI is simple. Very simple. Receive alert, decide to enter or not, receive another alert, decide to exit or not. You don't need to understand how the coding performs its calculations to provide the alert, just trade the damn alerts!
- Bob is force of nature. Everyone who has met him says very similar stuff. He has a heart of gold and should be treated with the utmost respect. I have not had the pleasure to interact with him at all, but we can't all be that lucky.
- milanese (Tommaso) has the patience of a saint. Constantly bombarded with requests from everyone who wants the HGI to be exactly what they want. Couple that with continually pointing people to post 1 or the beginners thread. My hat is off to you mate!
- Steve will kick your arse! The man runs a tight ship and for good reason! If you try and get answers without putting in any effort on your part by reading the thread, enjoy your ability to post while you can.
- The entire team that has put this together has achieved something never before seen in the world of forex. A stroke of genius. And yet it is offered here for free. This astounds me.

So thank you so much to everyone who made this possible and thank you for the opportunity for me to expand my knowledge and improve my trading skills.

Lastly, I know that reading 213 pages of a thread might seem daunting, but if you read it, instead of posting already answered questions, it would probably only be about 30 pages long full of nothing but gold nuggets of wisdom....

(Steve, if you ever need an extra whacking stick, I would happily like to apply for the position).

And I assume the "0" should be a "1" if calling HGI from code?

I can't find the answer to this question anywhere and would appreciate some input

iCustom(Symbol(),TF,"HGI_v16.04", 0, shift) Is the "0" to turn On/Off the iCustom input (the first input on the properties)? If so, my guess is that all the other buffers are not used or passed back on the call.

If I call HGI like below, does this give me the ability to turn on the hurst filter?

I did see a reference to using the library to get Hurst but it pointed to HGI Matrix first post and its no longer there. The include file is posted but hgi_lib.ex4 is not.

As I wrote some time before, if you want a version that has the hurst-filter in iCustom calls activated, write me a PM and I will send you a special version with the same expiry date like the others have...

May I ask, did anything come of your test of the special HGI for lower TFs? I tried them but found that the normal HGI worked better. I only use the waves, wave to wave trading and used other filters to enter and exit.

Imo the "normal" HGI will give on all TF best results, thats why the special versions are discontinued.

Been awhile since I have posted. My birthday in March 15 and i am thinking of coming to Europe again for my birthday, probably 4-5 days. I am interested in Iceland, France, or England this time. Spain/Portugal in the summertime maybe. Anyway, wondered if anyone is interested in having a 1 day seminar on a weekend in which we meet at a hotel or restaurant and just share trading stories and experiences. Dont know if any of you are good at organizing such a thing. Maybe we could have a Steve Hopwood Forex golf/chess tournament or something to go with the trading seminar. Anyway just a thought and see where it goes.
