Hi Milanese and followers,
Please refer to my former post starting the trailing issue at:
http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 10#p119639
Actually the trailing settings works using e.g. partclose in conjunction with setBEonPartClosefirstTP.
But if I disactivate partclose-inputs or use BE& JS inputs both = false, the trailing will not work.
I assume there are a conflict, because in the section of BE & JS inputs, one of the features has to be set = true.
If both are set = false, trailing will not start by logic.
The same occurs with SEtBEonPartcloseFirstTP = false.
Maybe an additional function like MoveJSlinProfit might solve the problem to start trailing.
I assume that the function MoveSLOnlyifWin will consider SLminDistancetopriceJS only if price => open expecting, that in any case price has to move the defined min-pip-distance > open in profit before start trailing.
To make it more transparency for better understanding.
I set initial SL 30 pips < open. SLMinDistancetoPriceSL = 20. Now the price will move into profit, but there is still a variable missing to define when trailing by defined pips in profit has to start. By logic price has to be X pips in profit. Let say trailing should start, if price moves 10 pips into profit. Now I would expect, that the initial SL will jump to 10 pips distance < open, resp. 20 pips distance from the actual price.
Afterwards the trailing by Jump-Step can execute as long as price moves into profit.
In addition:
The background for this kind of trailing would makes sense in conjunction with PartCloseEnabled.
If I use at the open a high lotsize, say 0.1 and I use partclose 90% when 10 pips in profit, I would by partclose taken profit and by risk calculation it is not necessary to move the JSL to BE.
By a certain, minor risk the JSL can remain < open for further trailing open end, considering the already taken profit.
That would provide more space for market movements.
Hope I did describe it understandable.
