May i ask if you've given this more thought or was this just a fleeting moment?

It ended up as a fleeting momment - as you can see, I imported the half-close thingy instead.

I can add a DoNotUseManagement feature to NB, for those how want mptm to manage the trades; it has powerful features that I have no intention of trying to replicate in NB.

I have added code to set a take profit where the D1 Slope is not in the buy/sell-and-hold areas. NB looks for the next full Support or Resistance level (monthly pivot, R1, R2 or R3 for a buy or monthly pivot, S1, S2, S3 for a sell) that is at least MinD1TrendTradeTpPips away from the order open price.

So, let's put this onto demo and see if it works as intended. Once the details are ironed out, I shall start looking at the D1/H4 combo trades.

I settled down this morning to think about extending the trading to the H4 trigger and could not avoid the fact that NB needs a way of telling the difference between trades triggered by different trading conditions.

The only way I can see of doing this is to abandon one of my fav Stealth principles and adopt magic numbers. The update has two of these - D1TrendTradeMN and H4TrendTradeMN.

So, if you have demo trades outstanding that you want to see managed to closure, then do not adopt the update. If you are happy to start a new demo, then do so and adopt the update.

Your call, but I suggest that you merely restart your demo in time for the coming week's trading. The magic numbers list will only grow as I add srf and possible ct trading, to say nothing of yet more ideas that might flow from TIB.

Hi Steve

Thanks very much for the latest update. You know recently I have been pestering you for email alerts in your EAs! The whole philosophy behind this new craze of mine is to know asap when a trade is enterd by the EAs, so it can be double checked by the trader. I guess this is not as simple as it sounds and can be time consuming. Well, the good news is that I will pester you NO MORE. Please find attached a useful little app for Empty4 from MT4i which does this job (pdf instructions are in the zip file). They have quite a few useful utilities for Empty4 and it is worth a visit.

Good job Steve, I'm adding this to my charts as well.

One thing that would be great is for the EA to trigger entries based on the weekly pivot and offset.

For example, if trend is down, then sell at the weekly pivot minus offset. If trend is up, then buy at the weekly pivot plus offset.

The offset that I'm using is 5.0 pips but a variable that we could adjust would be awesome.

There is an update coming later - I have added the H4 pivot cross and just have to add the tp calculation.

Time to bite the bullet and restart the demo; NB's development has left it far behind.

Added is spotting the H4 pivot cross. Removed is the bar to trading on a live money account, although I cannot recommend doing this until we know the H4 stuff both has no bugs and does not invite LUC around for a party.

Edit: Whilst typing the above, I remembered to add a filter to stop trading the Sunday candle. I see whilst doing this that someone has already downloaded the update. If this individual's crim has a Sunday candle, I suggest you re-download.
