Hi All,
First, I would like put a thumbs up for a great job, and logical, intuitive setup of WRB_HGB. (to Steve & Fawaz)
At this moment I'm doing a forward test with two settings. One with default options, and one of them has excluded RAD and Range signals. For now I am leaving the other settings as they are (also being tested one instance of standart HGB, but it is not the topic of this thread).
I noticed that WRB HGB EA sometimes don't want to close position, when the opposition signal Wave appears on a chart. (Even HGI matrix also reported wave signal). Positions should be closed after that, but it is not. The position then goes into unnecessary losses (in last days in EJ, GA, GC pairs). I didn't find in the manual of standart HGI any more comments about other conditions to closing together with the opposition signal of wave type. At the beginning, I had the impression that this is an issue of bad connection of Empty4, which was during the time when the opposition signal was appeared. But this congruence was only in some cases. Do have anyone a similar experience?
Some remarks:
RAD trading - the possibility of entering into trade on user-specified RADs (first, second, third etc ..) after the trend signal (Wave, Trend arrows) appears, would be great thing. My experiences says that after the third-fourth RAD in the row more often comes corrective movements. Even at the moment when added value of WRB is present.
Regarding the settings of TP made by ATR in volatile days. Fine setting in these days of AtrTpMultiplier seems to be between 1.0 and 1.3, but it is my experience from manual trading only. As the saying goes, better sparrow in the hand than a pigeon on the roof. Often are TP pips set higher than ADR (aver. daily range). Many times happened that the movement has stopped before TP, turned back, and position is closed on shifted positive SL.
Have a nice evening.

After some test with 'account currency' stops the stop outs exceeded the basket closures. So for the last three days of this week I have reset to:
No SL only the shirt protection
Closure again at 10%
No wavy line trades
To recap: the start balance was $6.84, I withdrew $20, lowest (early this week) was around $3.00, balance as I write is $4.35
No SL only the shirt protection
Closure again at 10%
No wavy line trades

Hi All,
for now I did a weekly analysis of the effectiveness of the ATR multiplier to individual closed positions as a comparison between set TP and set ATR multiplier.
systematics:
step1: Exported from Empty4 detailed statement of the 91 closed positions.
step2: Exported ATR value for each previous trading day (pair name, ATR for each day, other unnecesary things for this analysis.)
step3: Created calculation of ATR average between the opening and closing day for each closed position.
step4: Compared ATR multiplier vs. TP set by EA.
For example CADJPY analysis:
positions opened at 5.10.2015 , closed at 7.10.2015. So ATR average is the average of ATR of the three days.
original TP = 157
ATR average from opening to closing day = 104
... which is 66 percent of the TP value. ATR multiplier in this case seems to be best on 0.99.
Generally, median of 91 closed positions of all traded pairs in last week, is 1.03. The result is similar for all pairs in the range from 0.98 to 1.11 approximately. Exception is GBPCAD which could have ATR multiplier 2.00. Also all positions have reached TP, where ATR average in pips was less than TP was set.
Traded pairs: "AUDCAD,AUDCHF,AUDJPY,AUDNZD,AUDUSD,CADCHF,CADJPY,CHFJPY,EURAUD,EURCAD,EURCHF,EURGBP, EURJPY,EURNZD,EURUSD,GBPAUD,GBPCAD,GBPCHF,GBPCAD,GBPJPY,GBPNZD,GBPUSD,NZDCAD,NZDJPY, NZDUSD,USDCAD,USDCHF,USDJPY"
Today I'm going to set one more instance of demo testing WRB HGB, with a multiplier 1.03
Have a nice day.

Unfortunately, there are still unnecessary losses of pair GBPAUD. See pict below. The position was opened on the red down trend arrow (green line). Closed on SL on last candle (red line). When opposition signals (waves) appeared, trade was not closed
Does anyone have a similar experience?

Who knows? Those wavey lines are mystical thingies. They come and go, or perhaps should. Or would, if the indicators were habitual repainters. They aren't, so they don't. They are clearly explained in the HGI thread, should you be arsed to take the trouble to read it.figgir » Tue Oct 13, 2015 10:02 pm wrote:Unfortunately, there are still unnecessary losses of pair GBPAUD. Now, I am offering you a serious instruction tonight.
Events in shf earlier have pissed me off big time. I tend to react badly when this happens. Not your fault, but you could easily catch the flack if you continue to annoy me.
So, bear in mind this fact. I do not care about the wavey lines tonight.
Especially given that they have worked flawlessly and seamlessly elsewhere for quite a long time.
One way or another, as the owner of this often seriously irritating forum, I am not in the best of all possible moods tonight.
Now, bear in mind that I tend to go in for Masterly British Understatement.
For example: "I am not happy" means, "I want to annihilate all of humanity."
So, try to work out where you are on the Steve Survival Matrix when you questioned my code earlier. Code that has functioned seamlessly and flawlessly for months on end.
Without for once wondering if it is actually something that you are doing wrong?
When Steve is the power-crazed forum owner?
How much do you value your continued membership of shf? Do feel free to continue this discussion.

Ok Steve, thanks for the info. I understand that after 1001 times to read similar questions can be tiring. I'll keep with updating test results, if I find something valuable.SteveHopwood » Tue Oct 13, 2015 10:26 pm wrote:Who knows? Those wavey lines are mystical thingies. There is an interesting relationship between the wide candles and the RAD signals but since I am ahead on that account thanks to that burst of profitability I have left WRB for the moment, and joined the TF army...recruit woodlands at the bootcamp
Thanks again Steve for all this
PPoS up 'only' 2.9% this week
Goosey same as SWG says
Eurospeedway going steady BEG up and down but equity ahead.
FX1DO up a mere 23% this week.....

Seriously, are you traidn PPoS on selected pairs, anything that moves, or a range of pairs?
Reason I ask; I am trading it live on just a few pairs. One week gives. The next takes it back. I am neither losing nor gaining.
Congrats on your results elsewhere.

That account has been running for over a year (Aug 14) with different versions and settings, I did take Pipmasher off when it experienced a sharp decline but then thought better of it and eliminated the offending pairs and changed the settings, seems to work now but as usual it may be the way of the market, (I doubt very much that I have done something clever). The strangest thing is that my son is using same broker, settings and IP but is 9% down this week.
I am using version 1l on:
EU/US, GB/AU, GB/CAD, GB/JPY, GB/US, NZ/JP, NZ/US, US/CAD, US/JPY
With these settings: Regards,
Tony
