Hi all, would like some feedback on these charts:
AUD/CHF 30m (second picture, opps)
1. This looks like BARF setup to me, unless the BARF trend line requires 3 points.
2. Price begins to climb rapidly with decreasing volume.. in the first half- two thirds. Does volume need to be decreasing the entire time?
3. At the beginning of the yellow line down looks like a good place to enter short, but the yellow boxes show that the stop point ends up being taken out.
Anything I missed in this trade that was a warning signal to not take?
Next I have the same chart in the 1hr frame.
1. Similar BARF setup (because it's the same chart! =p)
2. The volume downtrend looks a bit better this way If I just connect the peaks
3. Is this a valid M pattern?
4. Is this a valid line for "bull trapping"?
5. If I were going short here, I would be short probably at the break of the valley of M.
Thoughts?

It is (very very intriguing)..! < read it with Raymond Reddington's accent! >PogMeme » Tue Oct 27, 2015 6:27 pm wrote: Good! It's been a long time!
I think I've found my little market niche to settle into, but honestly this PA, and particularly trade stacking is something that I find to me very, very intriguing. Do you use a lot of these methods (barf?) in your trading? I never quite got the hang of it and have a bunch of failed charts I'm curious about and would love to discuss and learn about what the pros think.
CJ would have us be masters at pattern recognition bearing in mind that these markets are anything BUT random ( totally 100% piloted )
BARF is one of those patterns ( occurs very often ).
Actually, in this thread at FF, CJ said that the the BARF pattern is what BANKROLLED him.
That said, CJ advises on focusing on learning to count and trade the levels/cycles [ recent posts ]
@Failed charts: Post them up!, and we'll all discuss! We're fellows in the same ship
Cheers!

I'm dumping the USDCHF barf for the GBPCHF one ( the GBPCHF one is making more sense to me )dudest » Mon Oct 26, 2015 1:25 am wrote:USDCHF
I think a BARF is forming, have started loading up shorts. ( I think it may have a bit higher to go before topping )
.
The Fox's methods really test one's patience....(!)

CJ,
you say "how can a tick chart pattern that takes 10-15 seconds to print become the exact same pattern on a D1 chart that takes months and years to print? "
I think, because price is fractal (?). But the question is: between dozens of tick chart patterns, how do you pick up the right one ?
you expect that the same pattern on tick chart is repeated many times ?

CJ,
and if the same pattern is repeated on tick chart many times then is should repeat itself on m1, m5, m15, h1 and h4 before it matures to daily timeframe. But You also say that the pattern will be repeated as a whole, from the beginning till now...but how...
I have downloaded EURUSD data from past ten years and been searching for ongoing daily pattern. And I did not found exactly the same pattern. I presume that I simply did not seen it as You see them. Is that correct? Can EURUSD daily pattern be found within last ten years of data?
Cheers,
Blazej
