Hi friends,

Me and some people have been problems with the MultiSpeedWay v1.

I have analyzed the code very carefully and corrected some bugs and here is version v2 that I trade live in the 5 minutes timeframe.

As ever I recommend you brokers with litle spreads.

Hi,

Perhaps it is convenient to say how I trade the MultiSpeedWay live. I use 0.01 lots for every 200 euros for each pair traded. In my case I only trade the EURUSD and the USDJPY because their spread is under 1. Take the case of a capital of 1,200 euros. This capital implies a lot of 0.03 for both pairs.
(I recommend to demo for some time because every broker is different and every new version of Empty4 is a headache).

First of all, I want to thank you for sharing this. You really are selfless and generous into sharing your hard work with us mortals who can't code for shit.

Now, getting to my point... I see potential in these EA's, and I want to install additional demos to try out different things, but in order to make the best out of these new demos, I have a few questions first that I would greatly appreciate if you could clarify =)

Forex Duck:
- First, would you kindly elaborate on how the parameters are working for this EA? What I'm mostly concerned is being sure that once a set of trades for a certain pair has stalled for some time (or reached a certain SL), just take the hit (loss), close the trades, and move on with the new set of trades (as of now I'm not sure what's the closing criteria or profit taking conditions for this). Ideally, I'd feel comfortable in taking a hit once a certain pair has reached around US$100 loss approximately (under 0.01 lot size trades). Could be more, could be less, but having a clear picture of what to expect would be nice to know!
- Second: Does it make any difference wether I run the EA in M5, M15,H1, etc? the demo I'm running now (te one from the link) is currently running in M5, but I'd like to know if there'll be a difference if a try a different TF.
- Last: I read somewhere you already have a v4 in the works?

? What'll be new with this? :O

MultiSpeedWay v2:
- As you can see I'm running two demos... one in H4 and one in M5, but as you can see by the demos the results are remarkable similar... So I wanted to ask you. Is the TF the EA is attached to relevant to the trading? Or am I wasting resources, and could achieve exactly the same by running only one instance of this EA?
- I can also start to see some DD starting to build up on some of the pairs I'm running this in. My question is the same as ForexDuck... how is closure done? Is there a losing closing criteria in the EA or will it only close once it is in profit? It'd be nice to know how to handle DD (Maybe manually? or will the EA close the losing trades at some point?)

Hi Diego,

I will try to answer your questions the best that I can:

Forex Duck

First, when opening a trade the EA uses a hard stop loss of 500 points. If the trade turns in profit, the EA trailes this stop. If not, the trade will loss this amount. For the take profit, the minimum profit is 50 points. Previously to trade live you must demo this EA extensively.

Second, the EA is coded to work in the 1H timeframe, and apart from the failures of Empty4, the timeframe is irrelevant.

Third, I am still perfectioning this EA and I am now trading live the v10. Meanwhile it does not trade better than v3 I will not post an update.

MultiSpeedWay

-It is irrelevant the timeframe.

-The EA tries to compensate tne bad trades with the good ones. This aspect is the important thing about the grid EAs.

-Replace the MultiSpeedWay v2 with TheTrickster EA I am attaching here (timeframe 1H, althoug this is not important). I am testing this EA live with only the GBPUSD pair, but I think it is better than v2 in the management of trades.

Hi,

here there is an update of the situation of some EAs, with the demos elaborated by a serious tester.

Seeing his results, I am going to take a closer look at the CF-TOR, analyzing the DD carefully. In the test, he uses 5 pairs, 0.01 lots for every 1.000 euros.

My answer to them is as follows:

Dear ...,

after some years trading options and futures, I decided to try the forex market, and I make money following some principles:

1. Only trade pairs with positive swaps. Why ? If there is turbulence, the money goes to this pairs.

2. I use a maximum of 0.01 lots for every 200 euros per pair. Only in the case of the Forex Duck I have breaken this rule and I am using 0.01 lots for every 2.000 euros all pairs, because I am trading only positive swaps and filtering the correlation.

3. Only trade my own EAs. Do not trade discretionaly.

4. Use a NDD broker. I prefer to pay commissions to pay high spreads.

5. I have faith in my EAs (remember only positive swaps, correlation on), but I have in reserve an amount of money equivalent to the sum invested in case I have to rescue the account. I do not close the positions in losses, I prefer to follow the EA.

6. Respecting the compiled code, there are several reasons: first, my EAs have been decompiled, reselled in another forums, ebay, etc. Second, in my EAs I only use two programming shells (one for single pairs and another one for multipairs, there is not anything to change in them). Three, the strategies that conform my EAs derive many times from my intuition that the markets follow a certain model (if any). Have you tried to discuss your intuitions with someone? Finally, I am not posting here any more EAs with expiration, although the intention here was not to avoid them been copied, but forcing that if someone was using one of them successfully, that he/she explains his/her parameters and results prior to obtaining a longer expiration.
