Three MultiPair EAs for a Sunday Evening

For some people maybe ... a train smash for others, like me - see earlier post. It really is a lottery with these EAs. Not meaning to criticize JL at all - his generosity has been amazing - I mean all EAs in general. They are at the mercy of market conditions and all will find their "black swan" event sooner or later.

Hi,

If this assertion is true we are all wasting our time here. This is one of the reasons why I am not going to renew the expiration of my EAs.

I do not want to cause the loss of capital of anyone.

Please dedicate your time to another tasks.

Also, if the assertion is true demo testing the EAs is a nonsense task. The result will be always the same: the loss of the capital.

Regards

Not at all.

I have never found an EA that can withstand everything the market throws at it. However, I have to say that many of your EAs seem to be extremely robust and with the correct capitalisation and appropriate manual intervention, I believe that they can be profitable (in the hands of an experienced trader - and that is key).

I agree with SWG. Jose, some of your EAs have shown to be very robust, and show alot more consistency and stability than the countless numbers of commercial EAs I have seen and tried.
Kiss v2a for example, is still going strongly, despite yesterday's events. The demo I am running still only has a max DD of 3.58%.

Jose, I think your work has been amazing, and you are on the right track.

I do not believe that this is a waste of our time. Far from it! I believe these EA's can be very profitable. We have all said that there should be some manual intervention, and they should not be allowed to run unattended 24/5. We can easily see if an "Event" is going to happen, as it just did. Why not disable the EA's before the "Event", and turn them back on after a safe amount of time has passed? Also, when the Market is good, these EA's can be extremely profitable, sometimes doubling the Account and more. In any event, I believe Jose is very, very close to creating the "Grail". I encourage him to push on! If there is anyone who is capable of creating the "Grail" , it is he.

Hi,

for your information, there are two EAs that I am running 24/7 without intervention with good results. They were developed some time ago and have resisted the news, NFPs, Draghi's, etc. with a lot of 0.01 for every 1.000 euros. They were developed jointly with an orchestra director friend (have the musicians an special gift for forex ? :D ) who did not have the time nor the intention of following the news. For more than a year we worked together in our spare time analyzing charts and searching for armonic patterns till we found the patterns we wanted to trade. They are pure price action EAs (only searching for patterns) and use the grid only for stacking. If there are trades with loss, the EAs use hedging for recovery.

They are private EAs and I am not going to post them here.

I am also of the opinion that with the majority of the EAs you will find three situations:

a) It is very difficult to put a stop loss or take profit. The EAs I mentioned does not have it, only trailing.

b) The news can be in your favour or against you. I do not stop the two EAs. If the news are in my favour, good; if not, the EAs will take hedging positions and will close all the trades at break even.

c) There are situations where the market is ranging or trending or retracing. The two Eas trade all the pairs independently of correlations, swaps, spreads or markets.

Finally, I am of the opinion that the "Grail" exist  , but do you think that the searching it is worth the effort ?

Regards

Hello José, glad you are back.

I hope that this famous grail exists, and surely some of your EAs are on the right way. Most of your latest are really cunning and seem to cope with these big events. I think that the user intervention and surveillance is required mostly for the crap that the broker or Empty4 throws at him.
It seems to me that most EAs, as good as they are, are also affected by the moment we start them. It seems that there is some time when the "luck" is just most probable... maybe.

I am very happy testing your EAs and surely there are some gems lately.
You are a very generous man to share your work with us, to test and improve.
I think the grail is near, we are reaching out, day by day.
