I'm pretty happy with this EA so far! It's has surpassed my expectations from when I used to do this manually.

I'm shutting it down for the weekend as it's Friday. Will boot it all up again with the new version on Monday once the market settles.

Here is a screen capture of that bad trade I showed earlier. It actually started going in the right direction and with the hedge from other two pairs I ended up with $120 or so in the positives. I'm using .05 lots here.

Overall profit so far @ 0.5 is $1412 from Dec. 4 till Dec 11 (today). I don't this this is typical result but I'm not complaining.

Remember, I did do some manual interventions few times. And twice I left it alone to see what would happen. I got lucky and still made profit. Sometimes I get this gut feelings to close trades and if I don't I end up regretting it 9/10 times.

Returning to this from a previous post:

We shall see. The hedging element should be enough to ensure that only a total cretin can blow their account, so the bot is reasonably safe. Sure, manually closing a fully hedged position is going to cost all the swap, commission and spread, but that is nothing like having 3 unhedged trades all hitting their stop loss.

I started a stop and limit orders demo on Wednesday and three same-pair trades went down the pan. There were a couple of other losses on a signal change and the account was down by nearly $200 by Thursday night. Friday came galloping to the rescue with 1,027 pips, leaving a grand total overall of +675 and profit of just shy of $200. HGI is very good in wild markets.

I have not been able to test out the hedging qualities of the buy stop/sell stop version that I have been running for 9 days. I did have a hedged pair - GU I think - at one point but the code was still wrong then and so the bot did not handle the hedging properly. I was pleased to read cyberevil's account of how hedging ended up with decent profit when one of his pairs became hedged.

Both accounts started with $4,000 and lot sizes 0.04. The hedging account running since Tuesday 1st is up by 2,454 pips and $807. This would have been even more but for the code bloops.

A magnificent start for this bot. Those of us around when I coded Holy Graily Bob remember how we had to combat his tendency to win massively one day and then spend a couple of days giving it all back. HGBnG appears to be avoiding this, so far.

Don't care. The bot is working perfectly for me as coded on my machine. Until something goes wrong here, I will assume it is something you are doing wrong.

On a general note guys, I do not appreciate having code that has worked seamlessly and flawlessly for years questioned by people incapable of using an EA. And proving so by their dimwitted posts.

I trust I get my message across?
