HGI for beginners.

I found that the indicator is not working. It says "Holy Grail Indicator has expired !". Is anyone having the same problem?

delete old version and download from first post in the HGI main thread the latest ones, new expiry is 1st apr 2016..

Thanks; I guess I was looking for more of an update on what works better than others, given that I am sure that everyone else has tested things that I queried, so their opinions are worthwhile to be heard, aside from telling me to go find and determine the answers myself; which is still then open to my interpretation of what works and what doesn't.

Regarding what works and what doesn't, I would like to hear from the traders about what does and what doesn't.

And regarding my other questions, I am sure they can be answered too.

I'll keep prowling in the meantime.

Just because this is a beginner's thread doesn't mean that you can expect to behave as a lazy dimwit and expect answers to your moronic questions.

Tommaso has told you what to do. I am reinforcing his instruction. Note my use of the term Instruction rather than advice.

You are tapping here into the combined knowledge and experience of traders who have been at this stuff for a decade or more. Or you would be, should you decide to stop asking moronic questions and get on with doing some work for yourself. The idea that their combined knowledge and experience can be distilled down to a few fluffy answers just because you are too thick to do a bit of research for yourself, is ludicrous.

This thread is for people to ask questions to clarify their basic understanding of HGI. It is not to allow lazy and stupid people like you to get away from doing some thinking for themselves.

You are one mistaken post away from having your membership deleted here. Your best interests are served by staying under the radar and doing some serious work for yourself. I am now going to delete your earlier posts so they do not irritate helpful members further.

hey all..

i've been using the indicator for a couple of weeks on 15min charts and found a sweet spot that worked really well for me.

anyone else notice that the last few days there has been :

1.) a lot more wrong signals
2.) less amount of signals


secondly,
i still haven't figured out what the major difference is between 17.00 and 16.07 indicators. is it just the hurst filter?
i couldn't find a release notes or anything similar on the forums

Dear Traders,
I'm very new to trading and using on HGI on H4 TF.
I hope this thread is right place to ask this question. I respect the Main thread and dont prefer to ask this simple question over there.

Is HGI 17.0 has got an updated Manual to understand the Dodgerblue and Gold Wavy Lines. ?

Attached Old pdf in the main thread contains the basic wavy trends explanation.
So, a little explanation on Blue Wave and Gold Wave could help me to pick the HGI Skills.

Please refer the attached pic. My interpretation from the chart differs from Alerts.
Gold Wave in the Alert Message says the Range Start
Blue Wave in the Alert Message says the Trend End.

I understand the RANGE Small Arrow which is to make a quick entry/exit for handful of pips.

But I could not understand the RANGE WAVE

Hi mrithums

I am no expert, however, if you look at my quick and crude drawing on your chart, you will see that price is ranging during the period of the yellow wavy.

If you look at the indicator parameters, you will see that the yellow wavy is the RANGE wavy and therefore would indicate that the previous move has stalled and a good idea to review your trade. The blue wavy in the indicator is called a TREND wavy and this indicates that the range period is / or could be over and a TREND is developing.

I hope this helps and that someone with a better understanding of the indicator can assist you and / or correct my own interpretation.
