Fledgling coders, I only came across enumerations a few weeks ago; they are really useful. There are a number of inbuilt enumeration constants accessed through the ENUM command, as in:
extern ENUM_TIMEFRAMES TradingTimeFrame=PERIOD_M15;
This would be represented by 15 in the set file.

Rene showed me how to define my own:

{
   Stop_Orders_Only,
   Stop_And_Limit_Orders
};
Then FXCoder showed me how to present them as a user input:
input GridStrategyType GridType=Stop_Orders_Only;

It has inspired me to start learning Mql4 programming...

It would be nice not having to depend on others for files and code, and give me some independence!

Week 2 just Amazing as Week 1. Closed everything out due non-farm today. 2 more weeks of testing and then I wanna give it a live try. cheers all

Looking great, I have been experimenting and can't say I've had as great results but they are positive at least. Would you mind sharing your settings to achieve such results?

I'm using standard settings on H4. Only thing I do is monitoring trades twice a day to see if the setup still makes sense to me and if it fits my expectation on that particularly pair. Also I barely wait for TP to be hit and close manually ealier. I guess profits could be even higher.

I know you said you do not wait for TP to be hit but settings wise do you still set it at 30 pips cash or pips profit?

I got some good news boys and girls. The EA has managed to generate profits of little over $1000 on a initial test of $3000 demo account in about two and half weeks or so. I have bumped up my trading lots from 0.03 to 0.04 as of today to see if it'll continue to grow or crash and burn.

I'll Keep you guys updated. I'm trying my best not to do too much manual intervention this time around but there are still sometimes I just have to go in there and clean up few trades or objects on the charts. The EA is at a stage now where it can pretty much take care of any if not all situations. I only monitor the charts once in the morning and once at night to see if everything is still running smoothly.

Once I get this demo to 8K I'll be running live

I also am very happy with the hedging features of this bot.

Trading live the stop and limit orders method, HGB'nG makes huge profits when the markets take off like a homicidal elevator. Then he gives the gains back slowly - not in the spectacular fashion of the original HGB, but given back all the same.

The latest demo version has been performing superbly. I shall be replacing the stop and limit version with the latest hedging demo on Monday, and making him the live trading version in post 1.

Progress on the demo since 17th Jan, left entirely unattended:

I saw tonight a bundle of pending trades sent following a signal from HGI far too close to markets shutting up shop for the weekend. I will add a NoNewSignalsTradedOnFridayAfter function in time for next weekend.

May I ask Steve, is this your HGB'nG Version 1k that you were trading on your live account since the 17th?

Just curious, as I have been playing with both V 1k, and V 1v on a demo account just to compare over the past week, good results on both so far...

I didn't place a chart here as I wasn't home in time to close before NFP so it was a bit of a mess, but hey, that is what a demo account is for! Ironing out one's trading so there are no creases before going live!

Just to clarify, both versions 1k and 1v are working as they should, which is wonderful, very promising!

Now, call me "Mr Thickee" (yeah, you might want to examine that invitation quite closely) but I am not entirely sure which bit of this from post 1 confuses you:

I am trading HGB'nG with tiny lots on my live trading account, but only the version whose code has been tested and proven. This is the "Holy Graily Bob 'n Grid 1k Steve's live trading version" version. "Holy Graily Bob 'n Grid" is the latest for demo only, because it contains untested code.
