I wonder why Georges EA is taking trades with no problem without the fastperiod set.

George - Could you advice what is not correct in bazze:s translated M30 setfile?
I have no trades with this set.

From the manual

If the MaCalcMethod was set to 'MA Single Line', it only uses the settings of the Slow MA
for that time frame and it shows an Up arrow if there was a change in direction of the Slow
MA within the last LookBackMinutes and the most recent direction is Up. Opposite for a Dn
arrow. There is no signal (arrow), if within the last LookBackMinutes, the Slow MA didn't
change direction.



So fast MA period value isn't considered for Single Line MA method

I have been doing some testing for Rene on the sideline....amazing to see what he does beyond the scope of the human eye and great work that he does behind the scenes....unfortunately there is so much my computer can handle and I have only been able to do one test at a time so could not really be interactive here..

Yesterday I thought I was going bonkers and decided to connect mad trader again today.... My trades in the direction of the medium term tend...hey one thing we have to accept is drawdown...we have to adjust our lot sizes accordingly....34/60 remains important for me...

As an old scholar of Nanningbob my monthly pivot remains crux for me....

Take care guys and I dont want to be the dark horse here but also at the same token realize the trend is my best friend...

Hi 919gilead,
I had today the same problem with your set-file, no trades were opened.
I saw in your set-file, that the TradingFast MAPeriod is 0. When I set the FastMAPeriodhave to 6, the EA immediately opend 6 new trades. Is the set-file with the setting 0 correct?

yes, the TTF Fastperiod needs a number, even though the MaCalcMethod is MA Single Line ??
