Super Thursday!!!
What a turnaround after the ECB cutting interest rates a -0.4%.
EU dropped 100 pips, then after Mario Draghi said he doesn’t anticipate any more cuts at the ECB Press Conference EU gained 370 pips...
This is where HGB'nG made the most profit for me. 11.4% Gain, Floating -22.62% DD...
Currently I have gained a profit AUD$456, with a floating -$892 (Just the past 3 days)
It will be interesting to see the outcome as the EU currently is in a Range on the Weekly & Daily charts from a High of 1.145624, to a Low of 1.04616, basically over the past 12 - 14 months.
The EU is currently at 1.11840, so even though I have around -900 floating, HGB'nG will keep opening Hedged trades over time, and will continue to be making profits...
Now I am trading a demo account with an opening balance of $4000 / SizeOfDollop=1000 / @ 0.04 Lots.
This I would not risk on a live account as I am not using a SL.
On my live account I will only be using 0.25% on $4000 / SizeOfDollop=4000 / @ 0.01 Lots, and allowing HGB'nG do its thing and keep me in profit to handle the DDs, and I probably would have a SL of 1000 just in case of a crash/Black Swan Event.
BTW this is just one currency pair, so you really only need a handful, not necessarily 28 pairs.
Patience and Simplicity are KEY!!!
(For the noobs!) Warren Buffet only has 2 rules;
Rule No.1 Preserve your capital at all costs, and
Rule No.2 Don't forget Rule No.1.... And he has Billions
Apologies for the long post...
Cheers

Couldn't have said it better myself. I have made money doing this manually, and now this thing is on steroids so I can't complain. You do need to give it time to work it's way out of DD and I am always thinking of ways to minimize it.
I will be trying GP myself as well, as it comes highly recommend from the man him self Steve.

I am running version 2h with HGI 16.07. GP demo $1000,
Kevin's SET file with the same pairs. Very different results but I've only had it running since last night so too early to tell. If there is a problem though its definitely my end so if I'm still stuck I'll post any issues in the tech thread.
(ignore the swissy trade that was me checking the new demo account was running correctly)
Its not much use at the moment as its not been running long, but my FXB page for this EA is here:
https://www.myfxbook.com/members/myoung ... il/1546823
I am running it 24/5.
One day of trading indeed isn't enough to prove a system is profitable and so isn't one week. What I know is that HGB'nG has been profitable for the last weeks/months.
So we need to be patient, I believe this system will prove profitable over time. There will be bad days where the equity will be going down. So it is important to not overtrade. HGB'nG under the form we're running it now will only close groups of trades that are in profit, so you'll most of the times have some drawdown on the account. If you look at my balance/equity curve, you can see that at some moment my equity went down as my balance was going up. After some hours, my equity shot up like a rocket and is now beyond that level where my balance was before and it is still going up.
If HGB'nG will always behave like that, is something we shall see. It is too early as version 2h is pretty recent. I have high expectations on this one.But never risk money that you cannot afford to lose. So continue with that demo account until you feel confident enough to trade this system live. If those profits continue I'll soon withdraw some cash and open a live account with GP as Steve trusts them.
And I strongly recommend you do the same as those guys look like very serious people.
Cheers,
Kevin

What do you mean, "I will be trying GP myself as well"? Why have you not done so already? Jesus wept buckets of blood in the sand. Uselessly and fruitlessly because the sand was too thick to take any notice. Fucking hell fire, Cy, did you not stop even for one moment to consider that I might actually be championing GP because they are actually the best broker available? Maybe you think I stuck a pin in a list of so-called 'forex brokers' and decided on that one to promote?
Really?
How insulted do you think I feel right at this moment? Go on: take a guess.
Stop and think about this. Imagine you had posted as you did above before contacting me with your trading idea, in response to an earlier thread. You think you would still be a member here? Imagine what we would all have missed. Then shudder delicately and dismiss the whole idea as a bad dream.
I am going to start being blunt about this guys. Global Prime is the only honest brokerage firm that I know of. There may be others, but I do not know about them. Astonishing as it may seem given that I am merely the owner of what some people regard as the best forex trading forum around, people send me the occasional titbit of information. Nobody has told me about other honest brokers, so my default position is that they do not exist. Possibly a tad extreme, but I do not care. Those of us who have been around this stuff for more than 5 minutes have fallen into the trap of the market makers. I have been around it for considerably longer than 5 minutes, so I leave you to draw your own conclusions.
Only a cretin who can open an account with GP fails to do so.
I trust I make my point?
Read the effing manual, ok?
Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.
I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.
Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

Hahaha, point taken. I had researched GP long ago but never pulled the trigger. It would be nice to have small army of traders on GP trading in the same direction with HGBn'G

Hi
Apart from manual trading & considerable other commitments, been following HGBnG developments and it is proving brilliant. Using an export script to csv, track trades with Excel pivot tables showing results from all symbols and EA versions with differing magic numbers.
All via GP, by the way!!
Last 6 weeks by far the most profitable SHF EA has been HGBnG ver 1Z so I reinstated it this week on a separate Empty4 instance.
Have not caught up with 2G or 2H yet (will do) but just last night with the EUR swing, 1Z (+12%) parallel, considerably out-performed 2E (-2%).
An amazing piece of software, well worth waiting up after 3am watching trades opening & shutting & account balance go up & up.
Will continue to run 1Z parallel & update ver 2 as it progresses. Great expectations!
Congratulations to Steve, Bob & all the team.
Paul
PS For us (GMT +10 Melbourne time) the most successful 'Trade start day of week' is Thursday and the only minus day is Wednesday. So the "Thursday" trade exemption needs adjusting for regions. Over 6 weeks -
Mon 7.11%
Tue 10.59%
Wed -1.69%
Thurs 21.65%
Fri 4.77%

I also have -$302 of open trades. The largest chunk of these are NZDCHF Buy trades (-$82) - with no sell trades opened. I assume that Steve's explanation in post #1 is the reason there are no opened sell trades - even though the historical chart only shows a small RAD down arrow and a large Red down arrow - and no buy signals? Am I correct?
