Semafor? I am impressed to hear of someone using the Semafor option. I personally had left it alone.

Care to share some of your results in using this? i.e settings, days running, baskets won etc..

Thanks,

Daniel
Keep in mind this is on the shitty broker I'm using for now, on a cent account that I don't care if I blow. However GW doesn't seem to want to blow the account. Instead it seems to want to make money!

I wasn't using a trade manager until yesterday when the market was going wild. I closed all positions manually then setup sAPBTM with a 2.5% equity gain close, and it did close out one basket yesterday. Right now around -900 pips floating.

GW had been on this account since late last week.

I can't run GW on GJ because this broker is charging a spread of 7. So I am running it on pairs with a spread of 3 or lower.

I'll be leaving this account to run just like this and see if it blows out.

Well I'm off to fund my GP account and make some real money with HGBnG!!!

Forgive me for being blunt (I've been selebrating the weekend already) but your 'proof' is bullshit. Only EURJPY should be carried forward based on your report.

I'll refrain from posting today anymore, and keep celebrating the 1.000 pips GW made for me today!

My idea is to start to use the trading hours and stop trading after a certain time. The EA will continue trading a hedge after this time, but stop starting a new fresh grid after the hedge has closed. Start trading again an hour before London open, and get going again.

.... to extend this idea what about just trading from 15minutes before high impact news on whichever currency each day until 1st basket close after?

I have been following this thread with interest and loaded up my first live test with EURUSD yesterday

I just copied the set file you posted for GBPJPY as looked good and thought it would be a little more conservative just using it on EURUSD

I think it's a good idea Trader Joe. The only comments I have to this is that sometimes when multiple news events take place and sometimes even 1 news event, the pair can whiplash pretty badly so it might be good to pay attention to the grid size being used for A PARTICULAR news even. If whiplash is not being considered, then you could end up in a hedged position of 2 buys and 2 sells or even more. This to me would be disastrous and make the news event pointless to trade in the sense of WAITING for a news event.

On a different point of GW, I can't stop thinking about this gap between both L1 sell and buy. In the example of a 10 pip grid, I can't help to think about the reversal situation and that the losing L1 needs to reach 20 pips before it hits the opposing L1. I wouldn't mind seeing the actual grid shifting up or down to whichever the case may be so that if L1 buy hits for instance, that you would just be 10 pips away from the L1 sell should it do a reversal. If I could program, I would try this out myself to test it out but I don't understand programming at all. Steve, is this a possible option for the GW?

Cheers!

Happy Pipping!

How the blue blazes should I know?

You really think I have the foggiest idea what you are talking about?

Or care?

Dream on.

GW has undergone substantial development. It is now quite a complex piece of kit. Anybody who seriously wants me to make 'improvements' has to make a substantial case for me doing so.

As in, "I have made 20000 pips in two days doing.................."

I believe Gertje mentioned this earlier? Maybe the thicker of you did not notice?

I do not feel the need to crack here the discipline whip I have cracked at GHBnG. Yet. Do not assume you guys are immune here should you irritate me in the same way - and I will not forget here to delete registrations as I did then. Shut up if you have nothing intelligent to add.

Capiche?
Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.
