Shelley's multi-pair basket trader

Jemook, click on Profit at the top of the list of open trades and switch it to points, it will show the points instead of dollar value for the open trades, but it will still leave the amount at the bottom in dollars and cents.

You started before me, my manual basket is in profit, not as healthy as yours looks, but the EA is not trading for me for some odd reason.

Hope that was what you were asking about the pips? Looked to me like you had 564 pips in that pic.

Thanks, I thought so too considering I'm using 1.0 lots. So the auto-trader didn't shut down my pips @ 400 but still amazing to watch it in action. My manual basket is also in profit now. So far there's just no stopping 10.2 no matter how we use it

Shelley, the reason I coded this EA is that you appeared to be saying that you traded the D1 Slope at 0.8/-0.8 at x start time, and closed the basket at 400/ish pips profit and you appeared to like the idea of my coding this when I suggested it.

Since then, I recall reading a post somewhere where you talk about using WOH as part of the trading decision.

Now you talk about using mptm 25/3.

It is a tad difficult to code an EA when the foundations that underpin it are moving. Cancel that. Coding the EA is easy.Making it useful is impossible.

So, does WOH and mptm 25/3 need adding to Shelley the EA? Or are these random whims that I can ignore?

Yes or no, please. Not, "Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't." Code cannot cope with ambivalence.

3. If yes to #2, check to see if WOH (on daily chart) is indicating the same direction

Is this the direction-since-week-open WOH that appears on all charts, or the trend-direction WOH that appears on all the other timeframes?

Great results here too! Hit 400 pips in one hour. I will close until the London open tomorrow to rinse 7 repeat.

Ok took my first batch just now. All positions are in profit 10 minutes after it placed the trades. This is very interesting!

Absolutely crazy. Is there a way to find out how many pips up I am on Empty4?

My manual basket has closed for 446 pips profit (3400 pips total)

I was about 90 mins late with the EA as I'd set the time for 1630 and it didn't take the trades. By the time I noticed it was after 5, so set it for 18. Trades taken, but currently in drawdown.

I have made the assumption that it is the D1 2x1 that Shelley consults, and so have added this filter. It is the work of seconds to correct this if I am wrong.

Anyone using mptm 25/x, remember to turn off the Global Closure - you do not want two bots trying to close the basket at the same time.

Just an idea - wouldn't it be useful to use a basket PIP breakeven feature? Obviously couldn't be any hard stops. So for example basket makes 200 pips, basket SL set to +20 pips or whatever?

Apologies if this can already be done with MPTM but it doesn't look like it to me and it seems like it would be a pretty good idea for this strategy to avoid issues of setting the EA running then seeing a significant retrace?

I'd also like a pips loss stopout .. So when the basket hits -x pips it closes all trades. That way if we are making 400 pips target 5 days in a row and then get a 400 pip stopout we are still up. Just some more protection in case things go south.

Shelley what made you decide to trade NB's system like this?
