Hi, last 2 weeks with TJF:s setfile and the MPTM Global manager (also setfile in the thread).
It´s producing pips like crazy. But still loosing money due to the partial close setting in MPTM Global.

Thanks for sharing these results ..looks like an easy improvement to turn off the partial close next week then

Yes.. last week I was testing entries and exits from M5 to H4. M5 made a ton of pips but the higher timeframes lost by the end of the week with all the chop.

It looks like Jason had the best results with the APTM set file he posted

All credit goes to Gilead as it is his set file. :hi: Only difference is time zone. I trade from 7am to 7:00pm in my time zone (GMT +8) (OOTB in the set file is 0200 - 1900, while 0200 i am still sleeping and I switch on computer on 0700)

Hi!
Just noticed sth when running the EA TRADING time frame (condition)

it opens the trade even if the price is already above or below the moving average or moving average cross


correct me if i am wrong. it should only open the trade when price is crossing the MA OR MA cross

Good Morning, I am trying out this EA. It does exactly what is instructed. I have the following suggestions and exit strategy:

1) I suggest we have more filters for entry.
2) Exit Strategy: Close Long trade if RSI goes below 60 on defined TF. Close Short trade if RSI goes above 40 on defined TF. (You can check this on the chart, it looks promising.
3) Similarly we can choose to use this filter for Entry as well. Only enter a Long trade if RSI is above 60, Only enter short if RSI is below 43.

Perhaps this may sound odd, but how about having final trade condition/trigger in global variable? Eg when all conditions are met, MAD-EA (or MADDY) would place a flag and pair into global variable. This would allow us to develop our own EA to tap off from that global variable. We might have more filters or trade conditions to verify beyond just the CSS , MA or the stated RSI in the last post. We would have a good flexibility to try out MAD-EA/MADDY in conjunction with our own various systems.

Hello Team,

Attached is a screenshot of a UJ M1 chart. I am entering trades on M5, with the M5 and M15 included in the strength test. The way I see it (please correct me if I am wrong) if we also include M1 in the strength test and as an entry timeframe, it will save us a few pips as shown in the attachment. It will also give us a tighter stop, price wont play around that area.

The idea is, we try to be as close to the previous bottom/top. Leaving everything as it is, just adding M1 as an addition to strength test and entry. We will possibly get closer to the 'NOW' with that.

Not trying to change things here, just a suggestion / brainstorming.

Note: I am happy with low risk and fewer pips per trade but sure shots. This might assist in reducing some risk.
