Nice start for the experimental version as well. GU really brought in the pips overnight.

Woke up this morning seeing the HGBnG Experimental about 1400 floating pips up and manually closed all trades.

Have now added sAPBM to close all trades at 2.5% equity increase, which seems to work well for all versions of HGBnG.

I am running this one completely OOTB for now, been running since Steve created it.

I created a new GP demo after the version that sent thousands of orders blew my last. This one is £10k but still using the same risk percentages.

Spent most of today in massive DD but its clawing its way out this evening - in particular I took a pounding on USDAUD and UJ.
I'm using OOTB + single MA filter. Updated as per Steve's releases.

On the report the EA prints on the screen is twice the same line, telling us the distance between the grid.....


One time below "HGI status" and below "ATR".

So here is the challenge folks. Work out which line to delete in the code.

I am happy to see this post from you Steve! I am also starting to really see the light at the end of the tunnel. I remember the $99 EAs that promised you the moon!

The experimental ea is going crazy and making lots of pips but I'm not the greedy type so i'll play safe with it from 1.5% to 3% daily profit would be dream for me and with the power of compounding it's dream inside of a dream!

All my demo accounts are doing very well, one is up by $900 with $5 floating profit in two weeks time frame. All done hands off...

PS. thanks for adding the buttons, I was going to request them but never got the chance to ask. I will be playing with this new version next going forward.

PSS. Do we have anyone here who speaks Arabic perhaps can better translate the part 2 of the video. I think this video holds the secret to making constant profit for long term investment.

One of the many thingies I have learned from Tommaso is this: GU often keeps going in the same direction for a long time. Pull your H4 charts out so you can see a long period of time folks, and you will see what I mean.

This persuaded me to leave my GU trades open for a few hundred more pips than I would have done previously. Get a load of this little lot folks - these are my trades today:


I have probably left a fair few pips on the table, but I thought to myself, "You know what? $460 from one group of trades is not a bad result. Let's grab the profit whilst it is going."

The last time my live trading account had this much in it was when I maxed out a credit card to take advantage of the "Cannot possibly lose" EA I was conned with a decade ago.

Remember folks, you cannot go wrong trying to make your own edits. You can always redownload from post 1 if you bugger thingies up completely. I am trading live the not-experimental version in post 1, so anything seriously wrong will get my immediate attention. Also, you can save your currently working version under a different name before making edits, so you can return to it if you are in doubt.

Just play with this stuff guys. The satisfaction that the control of being able to make basic code edits gives you is immense. It will lead to greater understanding of what is going on under the hood, and so greater trust in what is happening.

These are my results from the past week using HGB'nG %27n V1j on 5 pairs only, with RAD trading=true.
I did intervene and closed some trades in profit, and I'm quite pleased with the results.

I have now changed that to 3 pairs XAU, GA and GJ on a new demo using SOD=500, and will begin a fresh month starting Mon 4th April. I have decided to reduce the pairs to just a select few that move substantially with high gain, and increase the SOD to see the gain over the next month.

The reason I do intervene from time to time is that I really don't want a 'Set And Forget' system as I really enjoy trading, but for me I do miss a lot of entries because of the timezone in OZ.

This is the absolute beauty of HGB'nG trading!
It places the trades for me while I'm sleeping, and then I maintain the trades when I'm awake.
Also for me, using several pairs is much easier to maintain than 10 or even 5 pairs. Just a personal thing...

I do want a 'Set And Forget', but that does not stop me checking my live trades obsessively.

Set And Forget is easy on demo - especially if your broker is GP and you trust their demo feed to be as good as their live feed. I do.

Set And Forget is a ridiculous idea when trading live. It might not be in 10 years time when HGBnG has done its stuff without intervention for a decade but for now? Not a chance.

You have a trade/group of trades in profit and you suddenly feel some self doubt and wonder, "Should I close and take the profits?"

The answer is, "Yes".

We have the luxury of not worrying too much about losing positions here - we have strategies in place to deal with them thanks to the brilliance of some of the contributors here. Make the most of being able to close in profit.
