Fifty minutes into the London open and the basket is 250 pips in the red.
EA started at London opening today and I have the same situation - 250 pips down.
To be on a safe side would it be wise to trigger trade when H1, H4 and D1 are in agreement.
Just thoughts.

I received a lot of this error message. Reading the thread, I thought it had been resolved. How could I fix it ? Thanks in advance.

You have to place this indicator 10.2 TMA slope v.1.4B 4.30 for EA into your experts/indicator folder

You wouldn't get any trades - it very rarely happens from what I can see - D1 & H4 maybe.Armen wrote:

Anyway - even if today fails Shelley will still be up a ton of pips in the last week - one day is irrelevant. Also as Shelley wrote - some days the basket took 24 hours+ to close - we are less than 90 minutes in.

OK, all conditions met:
Awaiting...

You still have an issue there - notice your slope indicator has all pairs as ranging and you have no status after each pair on the EA display. I suggest, if it didn't trigger, that you put the 10.2 TMA slope v.1.4B 4.30 for EA.mq4 indi on your chart and not the standard one. I thought you only needed it in the folder but if you have both in the indi folder and you have restarted Empty4 then this is all I can suggest.
a)If all pairs are ranging, then you simply have no action at that moment. You must be patient.
b) What indicator you put on your chart, has no influence on the EA. Only the correct indicator in the folder is decisive for that.
C) What do you mean with the 'standard one' ?
Vivaldi.

You are absolutely right. Many pairs are retracing at the moment. If the prevailing trend continues, the ea should recover its losses and go into profit again.

It's interesting how dip the floating DD will go. Are there any historical observation?fx8000 wrote:spotdespot wrote:You wouldn't get any trades - it very rarely happens from what I can see - D1 & H4 maybe.Armen wrote:

Yes, that is the benefit of trading the daily chart...fx8000 wrote:spotdespot wrote:You wouldn't get any trades - it very rarely happens from what I can see - D1 & H4 maybe.Armen wrote:

firstly the daily range can be quite large so we need to be prepared for that, also as mentioned previously we are only taking strongly trending trades, so we are currently looking at a short term retrace (according to the slope indicator), with the expectation that price will resume with the trend.

Re: Shelley's multi-pair basket trader
Please have a think about what you're writing before you do so. I was trying to help kelisa, who posted the chart as there was an issue with that chart.vivaldi wrote:

Addressing your points:
a) Unfortunately this is a fairly ridiculous statement. On the chart posted every pair was ranging on D1, H4 and H1 timeframes - are they all actually ranging? No. Therefore there is an issue. It is actually one that has been posted before in the manual trading thread by Shelley
b) I thought you were correct (as I said in my post) but Shelley resolved the issue by attaching the "10.2 TMA slope v.1.4B 4.30 for EA.mq4" not the standard NB one "10.2 TMA slope v.1.4B 4.30.mq4"
c) See b)
