I am not sure the function intended to close the winning side of a hedged position on a retrace from a semafor signal is working properly. It looks to me as though my UC sells should have been closed a couple of times but they are still open. This has worked in my favour so far, but it would be better to have the code working properly, so I will look at it.

I would like to confirm that I think I may have the same finding on the above line you mentioned. For example a 10 pip setting, seems to be more than just 10 pips retrace before the trades get closed. Did you have some UC sells get closed today with the same case?
Not sure about the others who are still testing our beloved EA.

Steve, this is a masterpiece!

I use similar approach in my manual trading i.e. I place a net of stop orders but I do this only in one direction and if I'm right I see nice profits if not I have 1-2 trades which are running against my account.

I have two main differences in order mgm:
1. I have same TP for all orders from my "pyramid"
2. When 3rd order is filled I move SL to BE to avoid situation when Pyramid is turning against me.

I do not know if it is hard to code but if you can protect the "Pyramid" when, lets say 3rd (or defined as parameter) order in one direction is filled it may decrease DD.

I run this strategy on a few demo accounts with different parameters since last Monday and today I had a situation on AUDNZD when 4th long order was filled (4 long, 0 shorts) and a whole pyramid turned against me and every order of this Pyramid had negative balance.
Moreover for more aggresive traders after such protection (set SL to BE and cancel pending orders in diffrent direction) one may send another full grid (shorts&longs). In worst case one will finish on BE, but if the pair will move in desired direction one may see nice "take off"

Dave, attached is the setfile I am running on my live VPS - yes, I have graduated to the ranks of those needing a vps.

There are others here reporting a lack of success and I have no idea why. Our old friend timing, perhaps? Don't really know.

Just checking my charts and I've got some UC Buy trads that that should have closed out 05.04.16 but still open . I've had a look at the code but I couldn't see any issues...so not sure if you've had chance to loo yourself? or maybe Steve if he has chance but I know he's busy with work and Rinse & Repeat

I will put this bluntly. The code is now so complicated that I have no idea whether it is all working correctly or not. This happens when a bot starts out as one thingy and then evolves into several different thingies, a la HGBnG. We are not the only ones to use the term - far from it - but coders describe what has happened here as 'mission creep'. We loathe it. Try commissioning me privately and inflicting it upon me and see what happens. I have been known to be a touch on the blunt side from time to time.

I have done the best I can. Some amazingly brilliant people have weighed in with fantastic contributions. Is it perfect yet? Don't be silly. Will it ever be perfect in its current form? Dream on. Not a chance.

Might it be perfect in the future? Yes it might, but that will rely on starting from scratch with a trading specification that does not change every 5 minutes.

What I do know is this: my accrued profits currently outweigh my DD by just over £1,000, and have done for most of this week. You got a problem with this?

Just thinking that the Semafor issue is that it needs to be used CloseTradesOnRelevantSemafor and not CloseImmediatelySemaforAppears as we're using iClose to make the retracement calculation?

I solved this last week. I have this solved in the V 1q I have loaded into my editor eg line 4720:
