HGI with Supply & Demand.

Post by PeterUK »

Greetings,

I've just discovered a new idea which you can incorporate with Bob's HGI indicator for manual trading...

It's based on using the Supply and demand indicator (attached).

If you load a chart, add the II_SupDem and Bob's HGI indicator, you may notice a pattern... when HGI indicates a buy in a demand area you Buy, when HIG indicates a Sell in a Supply area you sell... stop loss set just outside the zone. Notice how the small and big arrows, and wavy line correlates with the supply and demand zones...

Some resources to explain supply and demand, helps to understand you what support/resistances really mean:

HGI with Supply & Demand.

Post by milanese »

I moved this in it's own thread, as the main HGI thread is reserved for pure HGI trading ecc...

Cheers :)

Thanks Tommaso,

Didn't know where to put it, thought HGI would be the obvious place... :-)

HGI with Supply & Demand.

Peter, the indicator is just another version of ZigZag, or Semafor, or Quantum, or Fractals - or any other indi that shows the highest and lowest points of x candles. I know I am not good at indi code, but that is because I do not understand the spoken-in-tongues bit: I can read when all an indi does is read the highest and lowest of x candles and dress the reading up with a graphic.

We can all dress this stuff up. We can call a low the point where demand overtook supply and so the price rose. This is true. We can call a high the point where supply overtook demand and so the price fell. This is true. These truth's are unalterable aspects of trading any market in anything anywhere and are pretty blindingly obvious. We can make ourselves sound really clever by expounding them as though they are newly-found truth's.

The indi coder has chosen to call his/her indi SupDem, implying that the indi suggests something more magical than merely looking at the hilo of x candles back. Someone - the same coder maybe - had presumably joined up the dots and drawn some sort of graphic on the chart (Supply_Demand_Zones)? I am only speculating because I have not viewed the indi's on the chart, but I have been down this route so many times before.

I suggest you do what is required of every one else here. You think you have found enhancement that will make HGI even more profitable? Prove it by trading it manually. Guess who will be the first one to code the EA for it should you prove to have found something different to ZZ, Sem, Q or Frac?

Read the effing manual, ok?

Thanks Steve for your input.

I'm not asking for anything to be coded... just a tool to help with manual trading...

I did some live trading with a firm last year in Futures and the concept of using zones for support and resistance, and order flow are making a bit more sense now... just a reference for those who are interested in investigating.

Peter

I know you are not. Prove you have a point though, and I will do so.

Ok, let's put this a tad more bluntly. You have offered up a Crap Custom Abortion as a serious contender to aid HGI. This is moronic and shows how little you have learned here at shf. It also makes me question why I made you a BSV and so someone whose postings could be read and trusted by noobs. I suggest you think about your future posts carefully.
