Probably that was the mistake but i have some settings on the 4 pairs and the other two goes for the 100 pips target even if it was an hedge and hedgeprofitpips=0.Gertje » Fri Apr 15, 2016 2:14 pm wrote: At least you're out with no loss.
In any case it was a fun ride.. GA takes 9 days (here also BE), GN takes 11. For all this time a never go under 2.8k€ (starting balance at 3k), if when GN trades closed i accept some loss and goes flat for we GW reached 3.9k for something like a +30%, no manual intervention in about 2 weeks only 4 pairs. Not bad..
And i'm sure i have left a lot of money because i haven't re-opened a basket the next days when one don't close.

krzysiekqq2 send me a pm on Friday pointing out that the Atr value I was using as the minimum to allow trading would be wrong if GridAtrMultiplier was anything other than 1. I have separated out the minim required and you will see a new value, the AtrRange. This is not subject to multiplying and I use it for the minimum range filter.
I have added ADX (Average Directional Movement Index in the Indicators/Trend folder. MinimumAdxStrength is the least allowable if GW is to trade. People who have not met ADX before, read about it at http://www.investopedia.com/articles/tr ... z2JwrHVrwN.

I've tried to put in trouble the EA, but is not a good idea to open close to monday open to many reversal (look all the GBP pair..)
ps. sorry the newbie question, if tonight I add to an open pair a new grid with a different magicnumber that are indipendet from the trade already open? And if i use the same magic number that trade are used at the same basket?
Thanks,
Marco.

That's right, and that's why one should try on demo first a new strategy.marcoFF » Mon Apr 18, 2016 8:29 am wrote:I've tried to put in trouble the EA, but is not a good idea to open close to monday open to many reversal (look all the GBP pair..)![]()
Yes, but you need to run it on it's own chart. One chart with the 'old' trades, one chart with the 'new' trades with different magic. Both need the EA attached or the trades will not close.ps. sorry the newbie question, if tonight I add to an open pair a new grid with a different magicnumber that are indipendet from the trade already open?

When stuck in a hedge I have found that paying close attention to price action around the xx.100 lines and then sending a new additional grid once a line gives good indication of providing some support or resistance to price (M5 and M1 time frame best for watching this) and /or closing out the one side of the hedge in profit too. This saved me getting too stuck with the sideways movements on some pairs last week.
