HGI for beginners.

Hello everyone,

After reading this and the main HGI thread and watching charts for two days, I have begun trading HGI signals manually on a small test account today. As you can see from my screenshot, the timeframe I am using is H4.

I am sitting in front of the screen all day, trading 26 pairs (for now) and taking all signals generated during the London Session with 0.01 lots.

I like having a hard target and a hard stop in place and so (in R:R terms) am going for 1:2 on Big Arrow and Blue Wavy trades; 1:1.5 on RAD Arrow trades (which I enter on a pending stop order at the recent high or low in price if no intervening contrary signals come first); 1:1 on Range Arrow trades. I am using chart stops, except for Blue Wavy trades, where I will put the stop above or below the Blue Wavy, as others have suggested.

If at any time the HGI Indicator issues a new signal that is contrary to the direction of the trade that I am in, I will immediately close that trade (whether in profit or loss) and initiate a new trade in line with the new signal.

This is not to say that anyone should take guidence from my setup. I am just doing what makes sense to me based on my trading experience and reading of these threads and would of course welcome any feedback from more experienced members and users of this system.

This is a great forum with great minds, kudos to the team making it to happen.
I have a little problem, i have been able to load the HGI indicator to my charts on my laptop but have not been able to do the same with my desktop. the closest solution to my problem was found on page 36 of the beginners forum. i"m very familiar with Empty4 platform, so don't seem to know why i'm not able to load the indicator on my desktop. The laptop and desktop have the same of my Empty4 and broker. Any solution please?

Hi Jozec,

Do you see the indicator in the Navigator window on the left?

If not...

1. Have you gone to File >> Open Data Folder and placed the indicator in MQL4 >> Indicators?
2. Have you restarted Empty4?

Thanks for your response, yes i see the indicator in the Navigator window on the left. My problem is that it does not load on my charts on my desktop but loads on my laptop. Still trying to figure it out, have done 1 and 2 severally.

Take a look into the log files is there any error message ?

Finally resolved the problem, actually took a look into the log files and the message was that i should update my client terminal. Did just that and problem was solved.
Thanks to you guys for the time and effort. Never seen a forum like this before, i pray and hope i will able to help others over time.

How is working for you thus far?
Breakeven, profitable?

About + 1% per day so far. I haven't been taking all the signals though as busy with other work. That said,it's not much to go by, one week of trading. It takes at least a month or 100 trades to evaluate a trading system.
