I just happened to stop by here tonight and saw this post by Angat.Angat » Wed Apr 13, 2016 9:48 am wrote:It's a tough game. Even the people who think they know what they are doing, still get it wrong sometimes.
Eventually when you understand what's going on, you'll get it right more often than wrong and that's what counts.
I will back up what he (she?) writes. Once you start getting it right more often than you get it wrong, and that the values are roughly equal when right and wrong, you will start to make money.
I started out on my journey a decade ago. In another place, a member there warned me that it would take me a decade to start to make any money.
He was right.
The decade has passed.
I remember another member of that forum's signature: "Forex. The hardest easiest money ever made."
How true.
Back then, hardly anybody knew how to make money trading Forex, which is why I am not naming and shaming the forum. It has gone a long way bad since, but back then I think it was trying to be a force for the good.
Fast forward a decade and we have SHF. Many of us old-timers have learned from the Forex School of Unmitigated Bloody Disasters. We have fallen foul many times of the rule that states: if it can happen, and it is bad for you, then it will happen - and probably sooner rather than later.
It was true a decade ago that it would take me a decade to become profitable. We have changed the Forex trading world for the Little Guy. Instead I can say this:
Anybody who fails to become profitable within a year really hasn't been paying attention.
Keep at it Tigers. Financial independence is within your reach if you stick at it and learn from the Masters here.
