One only has to check the FF economic calendar to see the BOJ Monetary Policy Statement.
Here in Upside Down land it was 1pm...

Good old GP took my stops out exactly where they were supposed to. :good:

I feel for other retail traders who may have suffered slippage due to other unscrupulous brokers.

Sorry to veer off topic.

Cheers

GBPJPY fell 400 pips within a minute, really amazing. NZDJPY was even nastier, they gapped high after rollover and worked it up a little before dropping.

NJ was the only jpy trade I was on. Empty4 went nuts but trade was stopped out decently, but not without an undecent slippage.

Well that was a nice start!

And when that happened, I had just put on a new 10K demo a couple of hours before and it did this... tells me a TTM (TakeTheMoney) module of some type might be a good idea to either build in or run in parallel with this. Equity Trailing Profit beyond a certain basket perhaps, or just a simple basket equity closer:

Yes Gertjan I agree! This is the unpredictable Forex train wreck that we often ride in.
It really highlights the importance of good money management. Personally I only risk 0.25 - 0.5% of my account, so when these events arise, I not only live through it, but can sleep easy at night. ;)

Hi,

I just wanted to share my results RnR so far.
Yesterday when I go to bed after FED announcement, demo account that runs RnR was at 1,87 % profit with 13,80 % DD.
This morning when I looked the computer I couldn't believe my eyes: now it is 19,64 % profit with 14,18 % DD.
It is 3 days progress.
I use 5 pips interval and it is running at 8 pairs (just curious which is performing better).

Thank you all genious people of the earth here...

Best

Steve,

The EA is now closing 3 trades on a PipDistanceRetrace, all for 0 gain.
It happened 2 times this morning, see below chart.
Once around 6:30 and once short after 8:00 (on the chart).
Does this happen to you as well?
I can post the statements later if you need them.

Thanks,

Hi Steve,

While I hate to use the dreaded M word, perhaps trying a martingale version with 1.5 multipliers (or even lower) is worth a crack? It reminds me a bit of the old Blackbird EA, but seems like much better underlying logic. Just a thought.

Hmmm, user-error I think :arrrg:
I had both the basket TP's at '0', and changed it to a huge number after my previous post.
Closed #1 and #4 sell-trades for profit now instead of the entire basket at '0'.

I was copying the offsetting code to Greedy and noticed some bloops in the single sided complex offsetting. Fis in 1k in post 1.

Lines 1672/3/4 are:

ArrayResize(GridOrderSellTickets, MarketBuysCount + 1);
GridOrderSellTickets[MarketBuysCount][TradeOpenPrice] = OrderOpenPrice(); //can be sorted by price
GridOrderSellTickets[MarketBuysCount][TradeTicket] = OrderTicket();

They should be:

ArrayResize(GridOrderSellTickets, MarketSellsCount + 1);
GridOrderSellTickets[MarketSellsCount][TradeOpenPrice] = OrderOpenPrice(); //can be sorted by price
GridOrderSellTickets[MarketSellsCount][TradeTicket] = OrderTicket();

:xm:
Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.
