Can I ask what be settings you are using in conjunction with the 50pips js?

Also, for the 21/60 5+15 maddy set result posted, which madtrader setting was that used with? Thanks

Over and above the built in settings used in madtrader I am using the regular Mptm set here on SHF with b/even set to 10 pips after 50 pips and a jumpstop of 50 pips therafter....madtrader settings and built in by Rene are unique in that he gives you a couple of options...Lets say you have specified 4 and 8 ma as the 5 min t/frame as the exit option the ea will look for a crossover in the opposite direction on the 5 min t/frame based on the 4 and 8 ma,,,,,also if you have specified Hgi it will look for an opposite Hgi signal on the 5 min t/frame you have specified on mad trader....these are settings that you need to play with and I have often made comments on this with early trade closures but more so than not have been happy with these early trade closures It is something I hope we can all get to common grounds with in our tests...

One thing I would add to the 'this EA behaves differently on different brokers' subject is that I've found it to behave differently on the old Empty4 clients I've been using for a couple of years than on brand new clients from the same broker. Presumably Empty4 is a bit like Windows and over time accumulates a basement full of garbage that it doesn't talk about but which does affect it.

One issue I'm having (on ThinkForex) is that I can exclude unwanted pair extensions in Maddy so the dashboard correctly shows EURUSD but not EURUSDpro, EURUSDr etc etc but when the signals get passed to MaDTrader it will open trades in EURUSD and EURUSDpro and EURUSDr and any other euro variants it can find. There's nothing unusual in the logs, they simply show Empty4 opening the series of orders. I'm thinking I could put the full list of 'vanilla' symbols into the Include Symbols setting in MaDTrader but not sure whether it treats that field as "only trade these" or "add these to the list of what you can trade" and I haven't found anything in the manual or this thread about it.

Any suggestions ?

In MADTrader you will find the IncludeSymbols, ExcludeSymbols, IncludeCurrencies and ExcludeCurrencies parameters. This gives you fine-grained control over which currency pairs you wish to trade.

It works likes this:
(1) If you leave IncludeSymbols empty, it will use the symbols in Market Watch panel as a base, for be further reduced by subsequent filters. If you set IncludeSymbols to a comma-separated string of currency pairs, it will use those currency pairs (if they exist) as the base of currency pairs.
(2) The list of currency pairs, obtained in (1) is reduced (filtered) based on the following:
2.1 Currency pairs, listed in ExcludeSymbols are removed from the list
2.2 If the parameter IncludeCurrencies is non-empty, it removes currency pairs from the list, that do not include any of the currencies in IncludeCurrencies.
2.3 If the parameter ExcludeCurrencies is non-empty, it removes currency pairs from the list, that include any of the currencies in ExcludeCurrencies.

To make it easy for you, select the symbols you want to trade in your MarketWatch panel, (you need to have them anyway listed there), and leave IncludeSymbols, ExcludeSymbols, IncludeCurrencies and ExcludeCurrencies all blank. However, if you want to list more/other symbols in your MarketWatch panel, that you do not want to trade, you have to use the parameters as described above to create/filter the desired list of pairs to trade.

Thanks Rene, I think I get it :

step 1 - MADDY goes through everything your broker offers and in the marketwatch turns on everything that has two of the major currencies in the symbol name EXCEPT symbols ending with something in the list of excluded extensions.

step 2 - if all of MaDTraders filters are empty then when it gets a signal from MADDY it will open orders on all symbols visible in the marketwatch that include the symbol string MADDY has given it.

Is that correct ?

For anyone using my setfiles I have decided to change my 4 and 8 Lwma on Madtrader v1.1 to 21 and 34 Lwma as a trial.
Whilst it is good to have early closures to keep your drawdown to a minimum these little pullbacks can also sap your account when the market is moving slowly...There are just not big enough movements to counter these small losses.

Thoughts on this are welcome .

Anyway lets see now

For anyone using my setfiles I have decided to change my 4 and 8 Lwma on Madtrader v1.1 to 21 and 34 Lwma as a trial.
Whilst it is good to have early closures to keep your drawdown to a minimum these little pullbacks can also sap your account when the market is moving slowly...There are just not big enough movements to counter these small losses.

Thoughts on this are welcome .

I faced same problem too many small looser and breakeven with commission sent my account down. I stopped EA for NFP in morning by closing all opened trades today. I will do some changes over weekend again

Happy to report today..Trades opened just after London open and closed 2 hours before Nfp....Hgi 15 minutes stepping up nicely today...these are all with my changed settings of 21 and 34 lwma...

I am using the 20/35 LWMA on my manual trading for a long time. 1M TF is where it all starts. just doing the ins/outs on the crossing will be enough pips. MAD seems not to trigger.....I will tweak....

did some changes over weekend because of too many small looser and breakeven and now i have changed EA MAs to 12/21 Exponential to close trade. It has improved and would like to see how it ends up by end of week. But so far +1725 pips in a day. Its Crazy
